Here's what you get when you let your wife pick out a Corvette.  I liked the Battleship Gray one but she picked out the B-52 Blue (Bluestone) one.

It actually is a nice car and very fun to drive, she can't drive it to work yet (no base registration yet) so I've been driving it to work.  The interior has a lot less room then a Corvette and it has 0 trunk space.  Anyways she likes it and is happy so I'm happy for her.

Congrats on a real nice car, Mark.  Clap   I really like the blue rather than the gray, course I'm kinda partial to blue.   Wink    Pam did a great job picking out her car, even if it isn't a Vette.   I've seen some on the streets and thought they looked good.   Thumbs%20Up

Cool ride Mark.
Ya know, I've seen one of the car magazine's take a Solstice (which is the same platform as your Sky) and stuff in new ZO6 505HP 427 engine.
Now that would be something to give it that "vette appeal." LOL

Very nice Mark. A friend at work just bought one and I love it. I think they have beautiful lines. Glad the wife loves it. Enjoy!

Pam made a great choice! Like the color too. I just brought home a 1983 Porsche 944 Friday for Daniel. Its in good shape and was maintained fairly well. But with any 25 year old its going to need a few things. So Daniel gets to learn how to work on cars. Looks like this may motivate him to start performing better in school. So until the grades come up I get to drive it to workWink

What the four-banger?  The little scooter stock has two less HP (173) then the stock Pacer (175) LOL  It's actually got a bit of get-up-and-go, nice little engine for that little car.

Joel, the Sky only comes in a vert, and there is a tiny shark fin on the trunk.  I told Pam I was going to get her a license plate frame that says
"When I grow up I wanna be a Corvette"  LOL

I like the lines on those cars. If you use your imagination you can see some C3 lines in the hood/fenders. Tell your wife to enjoy the new toy.

There is a company that put an LT1 engine in one of these.  It is a beast.  It made it into a few magazines.  A friend of mine helped calibrate the computer and engine to the car.  They built it in Cleveland.   I have not seen it in person, but maybe some day.

Mark there is some pretty cool tubo kits you can get for that Sky and it's all bolt on stuff. As mentioned there is a Corvette engine upgrade out there for the Sky. As for Miada-ish it is far from that, with a wide stance and some power from that 4 cyl. engine it does not even come close and it is in the GM family.Big%20smile

I have seen a Sky with an LS1 stuffed into it. This guy had it at a car show last year. He bought the car new, drove it straight to a mechanic friend and the swapped out hearts ASAP.

Yep the Saturn is a stepchild of GM, that is why I called it a Corvette Starter Kit. My daughters SC2 has the same headlight actuators as my vettes. Nice to know there are some "cheap" parts out there if needed.....

Mark, must be a blast to throw into a corner with such a short wheel base, so how many G's are you putting on it that wife does not know about.
