Ever wondered what is happening inside the bellhousing on yer automatic trans car when ya nail it? Check it out. This is a pretty good vid of what happens, even on a stocker. This is a Powerglide trans, with a Scat flywheel and a Huges torque converter. The flywheel is waaay thicker than a stock one, so this is even more interesting. Most folks think this is the crankshaft moving, but it ain't...it's the flywheel bending/flexing. Eventually, the flywheel will crack. Another damaging effect of this is the thrust surface of the main thrust bearing in the engine gets worn, creating end play in the crank, which leads to even more problems.Angry
Anywho....just thought I would share this with me buds....Big smile

Very impressive. That explains a bit about the Falcon inline six I beefed up. It didn't take long to rip the center out of the flexplate Embarrassed
