Nice car and I think the price is good. Keep in mind that there are A LOT of C5's out there, and you could probably find one with less miles for the same money or a little more. Of course, if this is the one for you, then it's the one! Any method needed to help acquire a Corvette is fair game Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing(unless it's illegal, of course Evil%20Smile).

That is one very nice Vette. Great looking color. Nice interior. Now to the plan, This may take some time but you need to over time make sure you do everything she asks of you and more, buy a little something for her when you go to the store, pick up a single rose and a sweet kiss azz card, Give her a shoulder rub at the end of her day. Make her think you are getting the vette for her to she how deep your love is.Big%20smile Aaron19762008-03-20 22:13:10

I'd try 11 roses and the line these 11 and you make the perfect dozen.  You have to act sincere though.  Once you can fake that, you got it madeRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

Not to be devils advocate but...  That is ALOT of miles for the money. I've seen 1/2 the miles on a car for 2k more.  Memory Lane Motors, unless Im mistaken, dont they specialize in either over miled or unloved cars..  I'd do more homework..

This is a $2000.00 aftermarket option. This car has a bunch of aftermarket options. That is why it is priced up. The paint, seats, door pulls, console cover, C5 Z06 rims, carbon fiber FRC's,Borla exhaust, tailight covers, script inlays, smooth coupler, to name a few. I know I missed some and I anticipate there are some unseen mods.

With 91K on the clock I would expect it to run well because it wasn't setting around idle.

Now Mr. Larry.... from 1 Larry to another.... The Plan...

Surely by now you must know that in order to receive you must 1st give. (and just behaving doesn't count) You need to adopt a scorecard system. Let your sweetie have whatever she wants when she wants it. Keep score though as the points are redeemable. At some point you are allowed to cash in. Me I save back my pointss for the must have items. (like our C5)

Of course two other tricks help out.... tell her it is her car and allow her to drive it occasionally. This will still provide you with joint driving / owning ability.

Last and most deadly secret weapon..... Tell her I LOVE YOU OFTEN...... ! This one has the most profound and awarding effect.... I have been known to utilize this one at random moments for surprise benefits that give great pleasure.

Good Luck with my tried and true advice.......

I totally agree with John...If this is "the car" for you, then the price seems fair considering the upgrades. I also agree that there are plenty of C5s out there with less miles and they are cheaper. If I knew the maintenance history of the car, and it was good, the 91K miles would not scare me.

How about you buy it for her birthday and tell her it comes with a chauffeur to drive her around. Then get in that shark outfit with a chauffeur's cap on so she doesn't know who it is. Then drive her around.LOL

Well here we go! I have never seen such a total lack of testosterone!!
Have you lost your gonads,Larry? You asked for help-here it is:when I was looking to buy a C5 the wife had no idea what I was about to do.
The only reason I told her was because I could not make up my mind between the Torch Red and the extra $500 for the Mag Red. She asked me if I was serious-I said "yes"-I was buying myself a retirement present and I wanted it paid off before I retired. All she said was "you want the Mag Red". That was the end of it and I went and finalized the deal. After the car came in and all the paperwork was done we left the dealership. A week later the wife said to me that she would buy the Vette for me as a retirement present and take over the payments (minus what I had put down on the car). I never made one payment. So if you want the darn thing go and BUY ITThumbs%20Up Lessons available by appointment only!  Butch

I have used both tacts.  The previous is better than the latter.  It shows a little more consideration(sorry Butch).   I am the king at my house but I still don't spend thousands without some communication.  I just put almost 30K into a kitchen remodel for her and mentioned my brother found a motorcycle I have been wanting.  She jut said "If you want it, buy it".

The simplest thing to do is start looking at bikes; then the vette becomes more attractive.

Well, shoot, Larry...........I think you should just go buy the cotton pickin' C5.......and that's a woman's advice.........LOLLOL  That is a sweet C5 and I would NOT worry about the miles (sitting is not good for a car) and check on the maintenance records.  I like my C5 (it became mine - husband only drives it rarely).

Oh......you could tell her the C5 was designed for women (which is a true fact).  Chevrolet designed the C5 to target women, for example the easy access to the trunk (coupe) and extra room back there too.  Press the correct button on the key fob and POP the back open to load them groceries!Wink

Larry, just buy it. She will have way more respect for you in the long run.

Tell her if she gives ya much trouble about that one you'll buy another one.

How do ya think these guys end up with 3, 4, 5 plus Vettes?

There is no lose in this deal.

thanks for clearing that up, i was going to have my plate say something like gay vette or butcrk.  well she has gone from no way to talking about or listening to my logical reasoning, which is very good, and also very much using that fact that she is spending alot of money bailing her son out of a mountain of debt in collections right now and the fact that he is not working and living with us all adds up to some very good leverage. will update you later.

Yeah, yeah. yeah. Micki..... an tell him your theory on the hood design too while your at it. That had to be designed for a women too......
Oh YEAH............I almost forgot about that one!  While your in the C5 look at the hood.............it looks like a man's butt crack.........check it out!LOLLOL  That's why I like it..........
Hmmmnnnn, uh say there uh Micki..... isn't your car black? Hmmmnnn, uh... nevermind.... I can't even say it for laughing.......

and uh Larry... you do know about the point system afterall..... I thought that was somethin that was handed down to all of us Larry's......
