On Saturday, August 30 someone will become the winner of a 2009 Victory Red Corvette Coupe we are raffling off as part of the Saturday evening Corvette Celebration festivities.

We would love to have a winner present at the event when we draw the ticket, but you do not have to be present to win. Tickets are only $10 each on a chance to drive home our new 2009 Corvette featuring the 3LT package, chrome wheels, glass top, automatic transmission, and black interior. Our raffle fundraisers are a significant part of our survival and we truly appreciate the support of everyone who takes a chance. Corvette Celebration Excitement - Two Days Left to Pre-register

Only two days are left to pre-register for the Corvette Celebration! Pre-registration will end at 5 p.m. CT on Friday, August 15.

Participants who make the deadline to sign up will receive a commemorative lapel pin and dash plaque and a personalized event badge. Activities include road tour excursions, special video presentations, a poker run, seminars, Corvette raffle, Celebrity Choice car show, auctions, Lifetime/VIP dinner with entertainment, a 10-year/15-year member recognition and the Ambassador Breakfast.

Don’t forget to register for the prestigious Corvette Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and banquet to induct Allan and Don Barker, Reeves Callaway and Maurice Olley into the Hall of Fame. Wil Cooksey was named plant manager of the world’s only Corvette plant in February of 1993. As a lifelong fan of the car, it was a dream job come true. "If I could get the opportunity to work at the Corvette plant, and just try to do the best Ican...maybe one day I could be influential.” - Wil Cooksey.  

Under his guidance, the Corvette has received numerous awards including "America’s Best Automobile of the Year" by Automobile Magazine, "Best Premium Sports Car" by J.D. Power, and "Best Sports Car" by Money Magazine. In May of 2002, the Bowling Green Assembly Plant was awarded two prestigious awards. J.D. Power & Associates named Corvette as "Best in Segment" for the second year in a row and recognized the assembly center as North America’s Silver Plant. This week’s collectible is unique in many ways and was donated to the Museum from an avid Corvette enthusiast, “Mako Mama” – Joan Spoerndle, owner of the Mako Shark concept replica.

Two exciting races are just around the corner – so get ready to rumble!
Join the Corvette Race Team for the only Canadian stop for the ALMS as Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport August 21-24, 2008. The Corvette Corral has a new location outside Turn 1 and will be part of the GM Hospitality area. Tickets are on sale now for $100 for the weekend. Your ticket includes 3-day admission, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, seminars, Corvette only parking, parade laps, Celebrity car judging, a driver autograph session, prizes and surprises as well.
