The 2009 Corvette Caravan and 15th Anniversary Celebration is approximately one year away and securing a hotel room for the event is a top priority for folks registering to participate. To help assist you in reserving rooms, locating restaurants, car washes and other venues while in Bowling Green, our Bowling Green/Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau is working to create a 2009 Caravan assistance website to help!

Many hotels will not open room reservations for 2009 until early January and some will open reservations in the next few weeks. Local hoteliers will contact the Visitors Bureau on a regular basis to let them know when rooms are available, cancellations take place, and when hotel rooms sell out. This information will be posted next week on the caravan assistance site available via a link from our caravan registration page.

Our 14th Anniversary Corvette Celebration begins next week -Thursday, August 28! We have over 550 people pre-registered and invite you to join us by registering on-site when you arrive.

"Corvette Passion To Reality" - Showcase Your Corvette Lifestyle

We are planning our upcoming display themes for 2009 and are excited to share our plans for a "Corvette Passion to Reality" exhibit to showcase the Corvette Lifestyle. We need your creativity to bring this display to life and are looking for unique displays showing how you may have creatively taken your Corvette's color or style to another level. Perhaps you are the passionate Corvette owner who has converted a motorcycle to replicate features of your Corvette. Maybe you have a travel trailer, furniture, go kart or golf cart designed to resemble your Corvette’s color and style.

This creative display will be a fun way to showcase your Corvette and the other “themed” items you have, and share how deep the passion of Corvette owners can imaginatively go. Caravan 2009 logo bricks are now available and can be engraved with text offering 7 characters on line 1 and 2, and 12 characters on line three. These special logo bricks are 4” by 8” in size and will be placed around the large commemorative caravan brick in section #09 in the brick walkway outside.  You can purchase your commemorative caravan brick at $150 for NCM Members and $175 for non-members. Join us For Monterey Sports Car Championship Festivities - October 17-19

Join us at the Chevy Presents Corvette Corral and Banquet of Champions at Monterey October 17-19! There are still a limited number of spots open in each run group for the HPDE at Putnam Park October 4-5. This is the third and final NCM driving school of 2008 and takes place at the Putnam Park Racetrack in Mount Meridian, IN - approximately 50miles west of Indianapolis. It is the ideal track for both the beginning student and the experienced driver. The cost to participate is $340 for NCM Members and $390 for Non-NCM Members. Registration includes a one year Individual Membership. 

We are also hosting two PrimeDrive Events during the Putnam Park High Performance Driving Event. This portion of the event is for those who want to taste the excitement of a high performance driving event on a smaller scale. On Saturday we will be doing a “Ladies Only” PrimeDrive and on Sunday we will have an open PrimeDrive to all interested participants.  The cost of the PrimeDrive is $75, and students will receive a PrimeDrive shirt, classroom instruction, lap session on the track with an instructor and a ride-along during an instructor run session.  This mini-school will allow participants to sample a driving program with minimal commitment and decide if they want to move further and attend a full school.
