Corvette KidZone Now Open!

On Thursday, August 30 the Museum held a ribbon cutting for our newest exhibit space - a Corvette KidZone.

The KidZone is approximately 1,000 square feet and includes many hands-on activities for kids, including Pat’s Super Service Center where they can change the tires on a mini car, fill up the washer fluid and antifreeze, change the license plates, and lay on a creeper to check under the car. Other hands-on activities include a Just-In-Time assembly line, 50s diner, Corvette drive-in movie, tourist rest area and much more.

The new KidZone is located within the Nostalgia area of the Museum, just behind the Mobil Gas Station at the end of Route 66. It is open during regular museum hours and is included with admissions.

Charlie and Debbie Meade Join One Acre Club

Charlie and Debbie Meade from South Carolina and the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club are dear friends of the NCM who see the Corvette community as family. “Years ago when we first started our association with the Museum we began the process of acquiring a huge, very close family. That family had to have a home, as families do, and that home for us and all Corvette people is the National Corvette Museum. As we watch the Museum grow, Deb and I wanted to make our own small contribution towards making this magnificent Motorsports Park a reality, and a part of our lives here at our ‘home’ in Bowling Green.”

Hey, Jim, I see that a lot of Corvette clubs from around the country have their banners displayed at NCM, what would it take to get a C3VR banner displayed???  That would be so kewl and also give us a lot of good exposure.

I agree about the C3VR banner, way Cool.  I would even be willing to donate as much as $1.398 towards the cost.  Seriously, if they did some funds to display a C3VR banner, I would donate towards that cause!
