Warm Up with Florida Events

If you are ready for some nice spring weather, you won't want to miss our new Museum in Motion Florida Collector Tour, slated for March 25-28.

As with all Museum events, this trip takes you to places you might not get to see otherwise - like the exclusive Collier Collection that's not open to the general public. Participants will also enjoy Muscle Car City, the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, Ringling Museum of Art and more.

Registration closes the end of February and space is limited. Learn more online here.

As a followup event in Florida we are hosting a new High Performance Driving School in Sebring March 29-30. Legendary racecar driver and engineer John Heinricy will be in attendance, plus other VIP drivers and instructors offering the best HPDE experience available. Spectators are also welcome and the event includes autocross and a car show.

Check out all the details for this exciting two-day track event here.

Fred & Karen Jackson Join One Acre Club

Fred and Karen Jackson, Lifetime Members from Fort Myers, Florida, are avid Corvette enthusiasts and proud new members of the “One Acre Club”. The Jacksons have participated in our R8C Corvette Museum Delivery program not once, but twice. They have also purchased two commemorative bricks that are on display in the walkways of the Museum. The Jacksons currently own a 2009 Z06 Corvette in Victory Red and a 2009 ZR1 Corvette in Black. In the past they have also owned a Black 2002 Z06 Corvette and a Victory Red 2007 Z06 Corvette.

Their most recent Delivery experience in 2008 was one that cemented their love for the Museum in a rather unique way. The night before Fred and Karen were to take delivery of their 2009 Victory Red Z06, Fred unexpectedly ended up in the hospital here in Bowling Green with Pancreatitis. He said that the Museum staff was “just so good” to him during his illness so far from home, and that their caring approach certainly did not go unnoticed.

“I’ve always loved Corvettes and of course the Museum, but having been treated like I was a part of the Museum family in my time of need made my wife and I decide to contribute and join the One Acre Club. We can’t wait to see the final result!”

Bruce Younglove to Lead Nebraska Caravan

Bruce Younglove has joined our group of volunteers as the captain of the Nebraska Caravan. Bruce retired three years ago as a grain trader and consultant for a co-op in St. Paul, MN and now resides in Lincoln, NE. He and his wife, Gayle, have owned 12 Corvettes over the past 25 years and now drive a 2008 Crystal Red coupe. Bruce knows how to use his Corvettes as he has participated in 26 open road races and enjoys drag racing. He is the current president of The Nebraska Corvette Association which boasts 185 members. He has selected his friend and fellow Corvette Club member, Bill Zuspan, as his co-captain. They both promise a great experience for Nebraska Corvetters and a special event at the stop in Lincoln.
