GM Corvette Plant Manager Retires

After 34 years with GM, Corvette Plant Manager Dave Tatman has decided to retire effective March 1st.  Dave indicated he had been considering a move of this magnitude for a while and after the incredibly successful launch of the C7 Corvette he felt this was the perfect time.

Dave has shared with us that he and his wife, Barbie, plan to continue their involvement in the Bowling Green community and look forward to continuing being active with the NCM and the Corvette community.

We wish Dave a happy retirement!

Dave Ramsey Takes R8C Delivery

Best Selling author, financial expert and nationally syndicated talk show host, Dave Ramsey, came to the National Corvette Museum Tuesday with his wife Sharon to take Museum Delivery of his brand new C7 Corvette. It was clear by the smile on his face that Dave was enjoying himself.

“The Plant is inspiring. It’s obvious that the people there take great pride in their work. It is a wonderful production facility. Very cool. And of course the Museum is the home of the Corvette. If you love the Corvette you’ve got to come here. This is our first visit and being from Nashville we’ve driven by it a hundred times, so to pick up the car here is a pretty incredible thing. We loved it.”

When asked what financial advice he’d give to those wanting a C7 of their own, he chuckled. “Well, it is definitely a toy. To buy a car this expensive you need to be in pretty good financial shape and obviously paying cash for it.”

Thank you for that tip Dave, and for taking your delivery here at the National Corvette Museum.
