National Corvette Homecoming This Weekend!

It's not too late to participate in this weekend's National Corvette Homecoming! Friday's events include a tour of our museum, a cruise to downtown Bowling Green and dinner on the square followed by free Concerts in the Park.

Saturday the show opens at 8 a.m. with free seminars, Sans Pareil, Corvette Show and Shine, Corvette Drive and Shine, Automotive and Non-Automotive Vendors, Autograph Session with Grand Marshal Wil Cooksey and other special guests. Cap off the day with a FREE All-Corvette Parade and Open Cruise-In, plus a FREE concert with music by Blue Light Special.

Sunday wraps up the festivities with all the great activities from Saturday, plus a Reunion show and OPEN car show. The closing award ceremony is at 4 p.m. For more information visit www.corvettehomecoming.com.

Corvette Racing's C6R GT2 Cars are Officially Entered in their First ALMS Race

After making history and completely dominating in the GT1 class, Corvette Racing will officially enter the GT2 classification in the ALMS race at Mid-Ohio on August 8th, 2009.  In this race they will debut their ZR1 based body design cars, piloted by Johnny O’Connell/Jan Magnussen and Olivier Beretta/Oliver Gavin.

Corvette Racing Manager Doug Fehan, said today in a telephone interview, "We are looking forward to this new chapter in Corvette Racing history. By entering the GT Global Classification, Corvette racing will be going against some of the finest sports cars in the world--Ferrari, BMW, Porsche, Ford, Viper. This is going to present an opportunity to demonstrate the durability, reliability and performance capability of the Corvette on a world stage."
