General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant Announces New Tour Times

The General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant has changed their work schedules to four 10-hour work days, and in doing so the public tour times have also changed.  Visitors can now tour the plant at 8:35 am, 11:30am, 12:45 pm and 2:00 pm.  All times are Central.  It is recommended that you always contact the plant or check the website for updates to make sure they are open before planning your trip.

2010 Torch Red Raffle Car’s New Parent Announced

 images
John Walters from Yorktown Heights, NY was the winner of the 2010 Torch Red Coupe raffle drawn last week.  He had ticket #60 and enters our raffles often.

He said, "You're kidding me, fantastic, unbelievable!  I'm speechless."  He thought he would never win but was very happy to get Megan's call and told her he loved her. John has never owned a Corvette or been to the Museum.  He's currently driving a Honda Civic with 190,000 miles and we reminded him that he's getting ready to upgrade soon.

We still have other chances for you to own your dream car.  At the time of this post only 258 tickets have been sold on the Build Your Own Z06 raffle which will be drawn at 2 pm CST regardless of the number of tickets sold.  To get your ticket or for information on additional raffle opportunities, visit our website at www.corvettemuseum.org/raffle/ or call 800-538-3883.

Dealerships Help Build NCM Library

Unfortunately, several Chevrolet Dealerships will not be operating after next year. Many have been around a long time and have accumulated a great deal of literature and memorabilia.  The National Corvette Museum Library and Archives would be a great home for these items.

If there are dealerships in your area that might have items to donate we would be very appreciative of your assistance in contacting them.  The National Corvette Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational foundation under the Rules and Regulations of the Internal Revenue Service. Any donation, either in cash or in-kind would be considered as a tax deductible donation under those Rules and Regulations.

Any donations or questions for the Library and Archives can be sent to:
