Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan, along with #3 Crew Chief Danny Binks, and championship winning driver of the #4 Corvette, Tommy Milner, were at the Bash sharing their excitement for what is happening with the Motorsports Park. “This is something Corvette owners have been dreaming about for years,” said Doug. “Now we are on the cusp of actually making this happen. This completes the circle of wanting a Corvette someday, to buying one, to watching it be built, to learning how to drive it the way it was designed to be driven. When I’m here for the ground breaking, (during the 60th Anniversary Celebration at the NCM on June 27-28th) I’ll be working that shovel harder than anyone.”
The $1 million dollar challenge needed to get the West Track included in the initial construction phase got closer to happening too as over $185,000 in donations and commitments took us to the $693,000 mark. We only have one month to go to raise the remaining $307,000 and hope that you’ll join the effort to make it happen. For more information go to www.motorsportspark.org.
