Corvette Caravan is Coming!

Once every five years, Corvette owners from all over the country and beyond hear the call and begin their exodus to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the National Corvette Caravan. Individuals and clubs join groups along the way, forming long caravans reaching from coast to coast, converging on the National Corvette Museum the last week of August 2014. With fun stops along the way, this is something every Corvette enthusiast needs to do in their lifetime.

Corvette's Instruments of American Excellence

The Kentucky Museum, located on Western Kentucky University's campus in Bowling Green, has opened a unique collection which showcases the ordinary means by which Americans from many fields of study have achieved extraordinary things. The exhibit features the actual "tools" that have shaped the course of this nation's history.

One such set of tools, on loan from the National Corvette Museum, are those used to sculpt Corvette clay models. Other artifacts include a hammer used by Jimmy Carter in building Habitat for Humanity homes, soccer cleats from Mia Hamm, clowning props from Patch Adams, racing shoes from Dale Earnhardt and much more.

NCM Insurance Joins in on 'The Build'

The NCM�s Insurance Agency�s underwriter, American Modern Insurance Group, is up to their elbows in fun as they take on restoring a wrecked 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS and shape it into that heart pounding show winner! This restomod build will involve many employees from American Modern as well as some external agencies that want to have their hand in the rebuild. The NCM Agency will be taking part in several days of the restoration project, dubbed �The Build�. �The Build� will provide tuned in enthusiasts helpful tips, helpful training videos, and information tidbits to replay and use when restoring classics of their own.

Corvette Plant Hosting Car Show

This Saturday, October 13 the Bowling Green Assembly Corvette Club is hosting their annual Charity Car Show, benefitting the Salvation Army Food Bank and the Bowling Green / Warren County Humane Society. This year is the first year the show will be held on the grounds of the Corvette Assembly Plant.

All car enthusiasts are welcome - Corvettes, Classics, Rods, Street, Motorcycles and more. There are trophies for all classes and top 30 overall. The gates open at 8am, and awards are at 2pm.

Activities include good music and food, activities for men, women and children, vendor booths, pets from the Humane Society and auctions - including a 'Corvette ZR1 Experience' Ride with a GM Executive.
