Registration Closing Soon for Vets N' Vettes Event

We are looking forward to hosting the first “Vets ‘N Vettes” event November 7-8. Pre-registration closes on Friday, October 24, for this memorable event that offers two days of activities planned to experience Bowling Green, the Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant, and commemorative activities planned with a Veterans Day theme.

Participants can be a part of a scenic road tour excursion to Fort Knox where they will tour the Patton Museum of Calvalry Armor and enjoy lunch on base. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in our city’s Veterans Day Parade, attend a special banquet, and enjoy tours of the Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant. Corvette Racing History To Be Honored at Petersen Automotive Museum

The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles will present its “Tribute to Corvette Racing” on Thursday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m. The Museum presentation will include a dozen famous Corvette racing cars on display, Corvette memorabilia auction, dinner and a large-screen film showing the rich and exciting history of Corvette Racing.

Invited guests of honor include Bob Bondurant, Tony DeLorenzo, John Fitch, John Greenwood, Dick Guldstrand, Doug Hooper, Gib Hufstader, Jim Jeffords, Bill Krause, John Mecom, Scooter Patrick, Andy Porterfield, Paul Reinhart and Dick Thompson. Corvette Racing’s next event is the Monterey Sports Car Challenge, the season finale of the 2008 American Le Mans Series, at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, on Saturday, October 18. The four-hour race is scheduled to start at 2:45 p.m. PDT. NBC will televise the race at 2 - 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 19.
