Congratulations "Build Your Own" Z06 Raffle Winner!

Congratulations to Jeff Hicks of Atlanta, Georgia drawn yesterday as the winner of the “Build Your Own” Z06 raffle – ticket number 78. Jeff has owned Corvettes in the past and has participated in our raffles before – and this time he was drawn as the winner! “You have made my day!” he shared with us and even called back to be sure he had really won. We had a great time welcoming Rick Hendrick and team members of Hendrick Motorsports along with special guests Jim Perkins, Mike Desmond and Gary Claudio for a very special Museum delivery on Wednesday.  Rick Hendrick, Jimmie Johnson, and Jeff Gordon along with Bryan Moss, President of Gulf Stream Aerospace, took delivery of new Corvettes.

Casey Mears and Dale Earnhardt Jr. also had new Corvettes included as part of the group delivery, but were unable to join their teammates for the occasion. We had a wonderful time hosting the group for a VIP tour of the Museum and lunch in the conference room. “We always love coming to the Museum.” Hendrick shared with us during the visit. He also presented the Museum with a donation to the Building Campaign for the hard work and coordination put into their special visit.

One of the autographed images taken in front of the NCM featuring Rick Hendrick, Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon has been matted and framed and is up for bid via our NCM eBay site.

GMNext 100th Anniversary Celebration

NCM Members who participated in the Historic Motorama II enjoyed a memorable adventure including being a part of GM's 100th Anniversary festivities. Participants had a chance to participate in many of the celebration festivities, including the opportunity to meet and greet GM VIPs.

The top five nominees for this year's American Le Mans Series "From the Fans" award are in. From now until Sunday, October 5 - the end of Petit Le Mans weekend - voting will determine this year's winner.

The award will be presented at the season-ending banquet in Monterey, California, the day after the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. View the top five finalists and place your vote online.
