One Acre Club Spotlight: Marilyn Sabadaszka
This week, we would like to thank Marilyn Sabadaszka for joining the One Acre Club. Together with her late husband, Roman, she has always been a great supporter of the Museum, and now of the NCM Motorsports Park.
“My love for motorsports started when I was a child.” Marilyn says. “My father loved cars, and some of my fondest memories were of watching racing with him. Later, when I met my husband Roman in college, it turned out that he shared my passion for racing, for cars, and more specifically, for the Corvette. We started going to races together, meeting the teams and the drivers, some of whom have become great friends since. We went on to do driving schools together, Johnny’s Corvette Camp and enjoyed many track days at various tracks, so the love of motorsports has always been there.”
“A Motorsports Park at the Museum will really put Bowling Green on the motorsports enthusiast map. As someone who loves all racing… NASCAR, ALMS, all of it, I know it will draw in motorsports enthusiasts of all makes from all over and be a real source of pride for Corvette.”

Rare "Jake" Hood Decal ~ Yellow
This auction is for a rare “Jake” hood decal, created for the GT-1 Championship Edition Corvette to commemorate the success of Corvette Racing and the Corvette C6.R GT-1 racing program. With eight American Le Mans manufacturers and team Championships, five class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and 74 victories in international sports car competitions, the GT-1 Corvettes were the dominant force in the racing world, and a great source of pride for Corvette owners everywhere. This yellow hood decal is just like the one worn by the black 2009 #4 Compuware C6R as it raced in those last GT-1 races at the end of the GT-1 era.
This auction is for the yellow Jake hood decal only. None of the other decals going with the GT-1 Championship Edition package are included. Professional installation recommended. No application instructions are included.
Auction ends October 3 online here. |
