$10 Corvette Raffle Winner Drawn!

For only the second time in our raffle fundraising history, the winner of the $10 Corvette Coupe raffle was in attendance at this year’s Corvette Celebration! Carl Stover and wife Marie of Warner Robins, GA were drawn as the winners after the VIP/Lifetime dinner.

The Stovers are active lifetime members of the NCM and have participated in many raffles as not only ticket buyers but also sellers. “Sometimes it is hard to convince club members and friends to purchase raffle tickets to support the Museum – but not after this!” Carl and Marie stayed over after the event and took part in the Museum Delivery program to enjoy a hands-on introduction with their new Corvette, VIP tour of the Museum and Plant and all the other benefits of the R8C Program.

Your next chance to win a new Corvette is coming up in only seven days! On Wednesday, September 10 we will draw the winner of the 2009 Crystal Red Metallic Coupe and only 500 tickets are being sold.

Corvette Celebration Coverage

The Corvette Celebration was a great event and we enjoyed welcoming over 700 participants to this year’s festivities. We have posted some of the photos from the event online.

As General Motors revs up for its centennial celebration on September 16, Corvette Racing drivers Oliver Gavin and Olivier Beretta raced to victory in the team's milestone 100th race, the Detroit Sports Car Challenge. The ninth round of the American Le Mans Series saw Gavin and Beretta win their second race of the season in the No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R. Corvette Racing's next event is Petit Le Mans, the 10th round of the 2008 American Le Mans Series, at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. The 1,000-mile/10-hour race is scheduled to start at 11:15 a.m. EDT on Saturday, October 4. SPEED will televise the race live starting at 11 a.m. EDT.
