I plan right now to be there.
Is this a "bring spouse along" event, or a "Stag"??
I'll bring some Potato Salad, and some dessert and some brewski from a local micro-B, Cricket Hill in Fairfield.
I would volunteer to bring some smoked ribs or brisket, but I doubt it would travel well, and I would not want to insult Luke / Paul.
Hoping the weather cooperates.

Sounds awesome Ken. Spouses are welcome!! Designated drivers may be needed so the fiberglass doesn't get hurt just in case anyone gets a bit tipsy!!!
Anyway, come on down. My father in law is a butcher in NYC so I just may accomodate the crew on some BBQ'd ribs as well!!
And if it's hot enough, the pool might just have to open early!!!
Regards
Paul
Hey Paul.
Sounds good to me. I will be there. my car will be out of the bodyshop next week hopefully if not then the week after. either way it will be a good day to meet everyone in NJ. I will try to bring something ( not sure what just yet). I will talk to you guys later. Try to keep this forum updated so no one forgets or backs otu when people stop talking. I am always around for soem event. for those of you in NJ want to meet up earlier. on april 30th on rt. 1 Northbound there is a car show at Devry Institute of technology from 9am-2pm. it is no judging (just in case your c3 isn't up to par). all money goes to donations, it is a non profit event. fun, i have been going for 7 years now.
Anyhow. i don't mean to steal the flame or glory from the BBQ idea. i am still down for that. just thought of something in NJ where we all could go to. about 30 vettes misc. years show up and everyone has fun.
well enough from me. talk to you all later.

Here's an update for the NJ Get Together - so far, these are the members that will be joining us or have expressed interest but are unsure:
Adam, Windrider1200, Iron82, Movie Collector, Warbird, Problemenko, JacksL71, Tonyb47, Stevep316, 1972BB, Ten15, Twocorvettes, tricer
Less than a month to go! Looking forward to seeing everyone!! And obviously, the rare iron as well! Figuring out some activities for the event as well! More to come - I'll send out some additional news as we get closer to the day. Pray for sun!!!
Paul
I've had the date circled and blocked for weeks wouldn't want to make a mistake and either forget, or make other plans and not show up. Maybe some of us northern members who plan to go could meet and caravan down together.
I'm in between Livingston, Caldwell, Fairfield, and West Orange.

Dave - more than welcome!
Adam, bring a boat load - I'm defiitely taking a mug and some other goodies!!
All, regardless of the time you show, the BBQ will be hot and the beer will be cold!!!!
Paul
OK...So far so good, I suppose. I got new rubber put on the vette, and ordered a front end alignment, only to be told, (& showed) the upper control arm bushings are bad on pass side.
While that in its self not going to stop me, I really haven't had any time to put some miles on the car since it got back moving & stopping, and it appears the trip to Howell is around 80 miles each way from Rockaway. I plan to get it out on Rt 80 and put some miles on it Friday afternoon, & see what happens. I leaning on bringing the vette, and my AAA card. Worst case, My wife & I hop on the bike and cruise on down. See ya around 1-2pm
Cheers

I will be there around 1pm-130pm i imagine. about a 45min to 1 hr ride but not bad, looks like 30% chance of thunder showers sat. still looking forward to it though.
Jeremy
Oh by the way how many people are going so far? what about parking for our sharks? safe to leave our vettes around your neighborhood?
I have a veeery long sweeping sidewalk in front of my house. My regular jalopies will be hidden in a neighbor's driveway. We can definitely fit 4 in the driveway and 10-12 cars easily curbside directly in front of the house - it's a quiet street in a nice neighborhood - I make the most noise there with the Vette!!!
See you Saturday!
Paul
Hey paul.
Question: are you doing this rain or shine?
Jeremy
Is Saturday here yet.... Or do I need to use the remote control to fast forword to this gathering???
The weather shows Sunny with a high of 73 degress.
Paul, Looking at the directions I got from Google, It seems to me that I'd be better off staying on GSP & getting off @ I-195 to 9 South. Otherwise I'll be on Rt 9 which is 2 lanes and a lot of lights.
Anyone coming from North Jersey: If you're coming down the NJTP and it crosses into the GSP I suggest you consider taking the GSP from that point south. Compare whatever directions you used with Google, if it doesn't take you to exit #38 off the GSP you may be going a longer route. I changed my starting point to start at Tinton Falls NJ, which is considerably south of my home (but very near the GSP) and it will make my ride easier.

Sorry guys - just got in from work (I actually had to run down to Miami)
GSP to 138/195 west to 9 south is the easiest.
Once you get on 9 south, bear right at the Friendship road exit (turn right - do not go straight and cross over to the northbound side of 9 - I am on the southbound side)
Stay on Friendship road for about 1 mile.
Marc Dr will be on the left. #35 (house with the Vette outside)
See y'all tomorrow now.....hear?
