There are only two types of vehicles, those with tops that open and those that don't!  I prefer the ones that open.  Even my mountaineer has a moonroof(no Joel, I haven't mooned from it, to the delight of all)

I once owned a Galaxie 500 myself. Ran well and did me fine for a long time. Tranny bit the dust after 200+ thousand miles.  Had a Pontiac J model also. Mostly Chevys. A couple GMC trucks too.  I'm not fussy. If you let me drive along with you, I'll accept the ride you choose. Joel, I'd really like an XLR if you have one in storage. Thumbs Up

Having a crossfire system I have checked on a couple of different forums and none have been as active or as friendly. That is why I signed up for life membership.   I also was on the Toyoda 4 runner site and it was good and disappointing in a lot of ways.

I owned a 56 Chevy street racer in the bay area (San Pablo, Richmond all the way down to Fremont for those non-Californians).  That car was so fast it almost killed me more than once. Actually it was because I was so stupid with racing it.  Sliding sideways at 80 mph down a rain slick freeway in Oakland CA does not speak highly of ones intelligence and I went to college.

Only satisfaction is God must love fool and stupid people because no collisions occurred and both of us racers got our cars under control cleaned our pants and went home in a much safer manner.

Owned lots of junk through the years.  Before the C3 my favorite was an 2004 Seville  That is a fast wonderful ride.  I put 180,000 miles on it before I gave it to my brother-in-law.

What is the most disappointing car, 1989 Lincoln Town Car next in line was a 1996 Toyota 4 runner.  It was hard to get into, bad mileage, prone to have smog issues.  I have own a couple of Toyoda's this was my only disappointment.

Since C3VR is my first baby, I love to hear people talk about how much they like it and how everyone here is so nice.  That is seriously my number 1 concern here - everyone is nice!

I'm not sure what it is about C3VR, but we've really not had much of an issue with anyone getting out of line. But when we did, we squashed it quickly.  Perhaps it is our smaller numbers so the odds of there being a bad egg here is smaller than on other larger forums.  Whatever it is, I like it!

Thanks to all of YOU for making the C3VR forums as useful, friendly and fun as they are!!

Thumbs Up It just may be that the attitude and mentality is less than acceptable. It can be assimilated to the helmet fact. When people buy a $10.00 helmet, they just may have a $10.00 head.  Adam has a significantly more respectable site, hence the folks that are part of it. JMHO!

Yer "baby" is a teenager now....it's only normal to expect some rebellion, attitude, and a few door slams.....LOL
With that being said...let me be the first to do so.....

Along with what everyone else has said, one of the things that keeps this place fun to come to is....MOST of us have a great sense of humor.....Clown

Hey Adam, I also like your cleaver and witty lead-ins on the Facebook site to some of the pictures and topics that have been posted on C3RV.  They are really funny and attention grabbing.

I was just telling this to my kids today, how nice everyone is on this site.  The other sites I visit, use, invade seem to have at least one member that is snarky if not down right rude.  As far as I can tell I'm the biggest jerk on here!

I started out a huge Chrysler guy. Had a '66 Hemi Charger, and thought Chryslers were da just the cat's Meow.  Then I moved on to....Ford. Couldn't get enough. Had a sweet 63 1/2 Galaxy 500 w/427 Medium riser...undefeated in street racing. Then on to the Musturds I went. Had 7 early Mustangs('64 1/2-'67) when I moved to Dallas in '86.
Then....I got smart.....now I'm all GM....LOL  2 Corvettes--2 Cad'lacs--1 Suburban...

To each his/her own...it's all Gud! Thumbs Up

Sounds great, Joel.  After hitting GM, Ford and Chrysler I hope you're done moving on.  Hate to see you "move on" to a foreign make. Evil Smile  Personally, right now I have a Chrysler 300, Ford Ranger 4X4 and Chevy Corvette, so I've got all the U.S. major mfg. covered.  Thumbs Up Big smile

My first car was an '81 Chevette.  Probably one of the worst cars in the world!!  But I was 18 and it was (almost) new, and I loved it.  It took me across the country several times during my first few years in the Navy.

I never saw the sense in getting all worked up about what someone else drives.  People love what they love, and you can't map a man's heart when it comes to cars or women.  A little friendly car rivalry can be fun, but calling someone stupid because they don't drive brand X is, well... kinda stupid.

I try to not even pick on the "fast and furious" young crowd.  At least they've got their head under the hood of a car, rather than in a video game.
