I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I wanted to remind everyone about this road tour coming up this Sunday. So far the weather looks dry. Still looking for what the temps will do. Springboro is near Dayton and right now, the forecast is anywhere from mid 60's to mid 70's. Should be VERY nice!!
At this time, I am planning on attending and hope to get there between 11:00 and 11:30am (Jeff is now suggesting arrival by 11:30 on his web site - link above). I hope to see you there!!!

Still not too late! It's my understanding that there's no registration required, so you can still make it everyone!
I'm headed out the door shortly. Should be a great day for a drive!

Candi ran a mini-marathon on Saturday, so she bowed out and my buddy had to pass due to his daughter’s birthday party (completely understandable), so I went stag to this one.
WOW! This was Mr Butch’s wild ride on steroids!! A total of 85 miles. Lots of curves, plenty of straight-a-ways, and great scenery. I had a C5 Z06 in front of me most of the time and I thought I kept up pretty well (probably a good thing Candi wasn't along - I would have heard a lot of "slow down"s and "remember this car is 36 years old"s). Jeff, ths shop owner did stress safety and pointed out that since everyone had printed directions, there was no need to speed up if you got separated, but there were times I hit 70 and even once almost to 90. As long as the weather holds, this event is now a “must do” on my annual calendar. Third Sunday of October, 2:00pm start (but be there no later than noon).
I took well over 200 pictures, but considering I’m still working on my set from Vevay, it may be a while before I get them up (plus, it was great fun taking them while trying to drive solo!). In all, I counted over 150 Vettes, mainly C5’s and C6’s, but there was also a 54 and 55. The 54’s driver told me he drives it often. The 55 was the same color as the blue 54 in Mike Yeager’s garage museum. For a while I thought I might be the only C3, but eventually about 15 showed. I ran out of C3VR flyers before I got one to everyone, but hopefully, we’ll get a few new members. I saw one
A gathering idea might be to visit the Restoration Station shop (there was an open house at the shop before and after the drive), then take the drive. I have turn by turn directions printed out, so it would be easy enough to repeat.
