I was just reminded that it would be cool for those that don't already have them to get their C3VR Name Badge in time for the Gathering.

So if you need one, please order by 2/24 so I can place the bulk order and have them in time for the Gathering.

Even if you aren't going to the gathering and would like one for use at your local shows, you should order now, too.

https://www.c3vr.com/VRInfo/badges.asp

Thanks!

If I might be permitted to add my $.02 folks. I would just like to say to all my C3VR friends that if there was only one thing that might have enhanced our gathering experience last June ( the "Rootbeer lady" and I had a wonderful time in Carson City ) I wished that all the C3VR people were immediately recognizable ( like with a sign on their chest or something LOL). I probably took elevator rides with people I didn't even know were my vette friends, Darn. I, for one, would have felt more free to mingle sooner If I'd known who folks were. Make the most of it, and enjoy.Big%20smile

As Jimmy is saying... while we may instantly know who's who while we're online, if we haven't met in person before, it is really hard to keep track of who is who, especially in a large group. And I know for me... my memory STINKS! So if I meet someone for the first time, about 5 minutes later I'll have already forgotten their name. Not because I don't care, because my memory stinks!  So the next time I see them, I'll remember that I met them, but not recall their name, so if they don't have a name badge, I get stuck in the awkward position of asking them again, or trying to guess and hope I get it right.

So yeah, name badges are a BIG help!

Yeah. Everybody get a name tag. Then every morning at the gathering, we can switch them around with everybody else. THAT will create some fun times. I have my tag and my wife has hers. We switch them back and forth, but it's not the same. DUH! Kidding aside, they are great to have and they do make it easier to talk to people you've never met. Kinda opens the door to friendships. I want to be Tux on Fri, OK?

I really like the idea of ordering one for my wife.  Maybe it would make her feel more "included!"

What option did those of you who ordered one for your spouse use?

I'll probably put an order in for one tonight after I hear back.

Adam, maybe for the future, you could come up with a special "Significant Other" badge.  I know some spouses are just as involved as the "primary" member, but for those who aren't as "in" to the hobby, this might be a good option.

Just pick whichever one you'd like, including the Lifetime Member one (in your case). And make sure to specify the text however you want it. Gotta get it in by end of the day today, though!  HURRY!

You had a choice for how you wanted your name to appear. You should have entered it during the PayPal checkout.

I had to submit the order.  I guessed at what you'd want, and went with:

There is a SMALL line of text right under the place where it says what you're buying)on the Pay Pal page), the says something like "Add text", or something. If you click on that, a box opens up under it, and you add in whatever text you want....It took me a minute to find it, too!

Adam, I was wondering about whether or not we could get a "Lifetime" badge for the wives/significant others, but I figured by the time I asked, and got answered, it would be too late to order it...now I know... I just got a plain 'ol badge, wid Mama's (real) name on it....

Technically, no... but I've never stopped anyone from doing it.

Memberships are really for one person. It could be for one person that owns multiple cars, but one person.  Basically, if out of the two people, member and S.O., if only the member uses the site, then I don't mind including the S.O. for other things. But if both people use the site equally, they should have their own accounts.  But, as I'm sure you could figure out, unless the forum posts allowed me to figure out if two people were using the same account, I'd never know.

Adam, if you've already sent the order, don't worry about getting mine any time soon (just order whenever you put the next order in).  I don't see us making the gathering, but it will be nice for her to have it eventually.
