Anybody experiencing threads temporarily disappearing or a sluggish response when making an entry?

There have been some momentary lapses recently (as noted in the thread titled Getting bumped while posting a message). While some of the instances of sluggish response could be blamed on the host site some could also be blamed on general internet traffic.  Not much of an answer, sorry.  I'm sure there is a more techincal explanation that I wouldn't fully understand!

If by disappearing thread you mean that immediately after you post... the thread does not appear on the home page in the recent posts list... then I know what you mean.  I noticed it to... and I have no good explanation for it right now. UGH!

I thought it was just me,I post things and somethings seem to get lost in space.and sometimes I have to click on a thread half a dozen times or more,to get it to pop up,I click on it but nothing shows on the screen, click on the back button to go back on the thread list click on it again back and forth till the thread finally either comes up or I go to a different one and come back later and try again.sometimes I get so tired of it,I just get up and walk away

That's what I meant to say, Adam.  Last time I posted, I even X'd out and in and still no thread.

I've noticed it also, but it eventually makes its way to the top of the list. I figured it just sometimes takes the long way.
