I would like to set up a membership for someone i feel could contribute to this site immensely. he has a world of knowledge regarding Chevy and Corvettes in particular. He actually built my new motor and is setting it up. He is retired and spends his money wisely and in appreciation I want to give him a membership. How do I go about it?
Bob,
If Adam has not contacted you yet please send him an e-mail (AdamW@C3VR.com). He'll be able to push all the right buttons to get your gift membership set up.
Create a new account using his information.
Log in as him and upgrade his account to the paid membership level you wish to gift him.
Then email him his UserName and Password.

Thank you.
where in the site do I create a new account?
First log off your current session, which should take you back to the login screen. Then on the login screen click on either the Register! link (found above the menu tabs) or the Sign Up link (found in the yellow box in the middle of the screen).
Fill in all of the information you can about your friend but use your e-mail address so the member signup confirmation comes to you. You won't be able to complete the signup process and upgrade his membership without the confirmation e-mail.
When you're all done upgrading his membership go to the Profile page and replace your e-mail address with his and click the Update button at the bottom of the page. Then forward the signup confirmation e-mail to your friend (adding a note about the e-mail address change) so he has the information needed to login to the site.
That should do it!
