I've seen the same thing, Ron. I found it was names I had typed in trying to remember the exact name I had used to join the forum, a few years ago! The 'puter saves all of these names, and, as soon as you enter the first letter, it brings down a list of names to choose from. I finally got it down to just two names, now.
If you click on the "save this login"( or whatever it says there), it will save that one name, and your p/word, so you don't have to enter it every time. It will, however, lose it's "memory" if you turn the 'puter off, or reboot. I leave mine on all the time, now, so I don't have the problem with that.
It sounds like maybe someone else has tried to get on the site(on your 'puter), and just kept trying different names to get in.(or you, like me, have a hard time keeping up with all the diff. screen-names & p/words we use for diff. sites!) Just an idea.

Yes, this could well be Windows automatic login
function in operation. Later versions of Windows
ask you each time you enter a logon and password
for something if you want Windows to save it for you
and automatically enter it for you next time you are
asked for the same information. If you click "yes" then
it will accumulate a wee database of logins and passwords
for you just like this.

I get the same thing, but not from different attempts at logging in. If I get a PM, that name is then added to the list. A strange one showed up too, anybody know who Homey the Clown is? This also happens to me on other sites that require a name to log in though, I'm thinking it's the 'pute.

Maybe this will help with the xp, click on the "tools" at top of screen, then "internet options", then "delete files" next delete cookies and clear history. then click O.K.

Just make sure you know your names and passwords for each site.this should clean  out all those names, Might make the puter run a little faster.

If this is the first time clicking on delete files, it might take a minute or two for it to complete. "delete files" sounds like I'm telling you to wipe out your computer, but its not that. I think its just the history of where you've been and the stuff web sites load into your computer.Maybe someone who knows computer basics will be able to explain better than I.

My problem was that I couldn't get the site to even come up let alone log in,my password was automatic never had to log in or out, would go to my address book click C3VR, MSN would kick back a message " C3VR did not respond" started last monday, what I finalley did was entered the site address and it came up and had to rentered my user and pass word, deleted the old address, works OK now, but still having trouble getting back in through the forum post replies address, does the same thing," C3VR did not respond", I'am on Web TV, things might be a little different for me, whatever I do on my keypad goes to a "brain" somewhere and then to the site, regardless, the C3VR server hicuped.

When Logging on :

MY name pops up NINE TIMES.... 8 of them are correct
and the ninth si only off by one letter....for the hell of it I went down to one of them in the middle of the list and I still was logged on...

BUT from my understanding the original poster had sveral DIFFERENT
user names pop up...that were NOT his... ?

Ok... if you guys are all talking about a drop-down list that opens under the Member Name box on the C3VR login page, that is NOT something that C3VR is doing. Your internet browser is doing that.

I'm not sure how to clear that list.  Perhaps someone else does.

Highlight a name on the list that you do not want, then hit the 'Delete' key.  I don't know if you can do multiple names at a time but I know that one at a time works.
