I don't know about anyone else, but I can move the curser to the page number and select it and it goes to that page.
Mark, if you click on the arrow button by the name of the last person to post(far right column), it will take you directly to the last post on that thread. Does this help?
Well, I can honestly say I've never seen the arrow you're speaking of, nor have I noticed the name of the last person to post in a far right column, but I still think it would be nice not to have to scroll to the bottom of the page in order to move to the next page when you KNOW there are going to be multiple pages just based on the number of responses.

Perhaps I'm just too enthralled with all the good advice and technical information that is posted on the site to pay attention to the smaller details.

Anyway, just a suggestion.  If everyone else is okay with the navigation of the site, then my concerns are moot.

Mark, I have to agree with you.  It took me a while to figure it out.  If you use the main forums page (https://www.c3vr.com/forum/) you will see all the sub forums and categories.  It is at that page where the last poster's name is along with the arrow.

I rarely use that page and had forgotten what was actually there.  My browser is set up to go to the page that contains the most recent posts, and that's why I couldn't figure it out.

I have to agree with the others that it would be nice if there was a link to the other pages at the top of the thread as well.  If not, no biggie, I can always scroll down to the link.

The only thing I can figure is that you are actually choosing your posts using the forum page, whereas I am using the most recent posts in 24 hours page!  Now, if you open a thread and you know it is going to be more than a page long, then all I'm saying is that I should be able to skip to another page from the TOP of the first page rather than having to scroll all the way to the bottom of each page, especially if I know I've already read most of the replys!

Also, as a bonus feature, maybe there could be buttons at the top of the page, and bottom that say "GO TO BOTTOM" and "GO TO TOP" respectively?

Hey, I'm just trying to offer my thoughts to help make this the #1 site on the net for Corvettes because of its ease of navigation.  You know, clicking on a site just to tally votes is one thing, but daily usage of a site that is easy to navigate, and contains all of the little things that make life easier is going to be a better indicator of genuine votes, and increased membership!

Again, just my opinion, but if you've given us the 24 hour post page as a convenience, then why stop there?!

As an alternative to the "Active C3VR Forum Threads" list or the "Forum Threads Active in the Past 24 Hours" list try going into the main forums list first and then click on the Active Topics icon (Active Topics), which is located just below the main menu tabs.  When that page displays there is a dropdown box for selecting a time frame to look back for active threads.  The arrow button Joel mentioned above is present on that list as well.  I use this feature A LOT because I can dial in a timeframe which saves me a lot of time.  Try it - you might like it!

On either of the 'Active Threads' lists would it be better to go to the last entry of the thread rather than the beginning of it?  That might be an easy change to make (here I go making work for Adam!).

btw - suggestions for making the site even easier to use are always welcomed.  THANKS...!!!

Ask and ye shall receive.

Take a look at the top right of any thread that has multiple pages and you'll now see the same links as you do at the bottom right of any thread that has multiple pages.

Page X of Y Next >>

Note that the X is a Drop-Down list... meaning you click the little down arrow to the right of the number and a list will appear showing you a list of all the page numbers.  Click the page number you wish to go to. Provided you have javascript enabled in your browser, you'll be taken right to that page without having to click the "Next >>" link over and over.

Boy...that was a lot of hard work.  Man, I really bust my butt for you guys!!!

I'm kidding.  It was surprisingly easy!!

Seriously though... this is exactly the kind of thing that I'd like all the members to do... when they think of something that could add value or easy-of-use to the site... mention it!  You may just get what you ask for!

Thanks!
