If your pictures are already on an internet server all you need to do is put the URL address(es) in the appropriate box(es) on the registraion page.

If you haven't uploaded your pictures yet go to your Personal File Folder area here on the site and upload them (a link is on the "My Account" menu tab/page).  Then copy-n-paste the URL(s) into the appropriate boxes on the registration page.

Let me know if I can assist in any way.

Jim,...........You make it sound so easy, yet I've also been working on this for many hours and though it feels like I'm getting closer, I've yet to succeed. One of these days I guess. I don't think it will do me much good for some one to do it for me, 'cause if I don't understand it, I won't be able to do the picture thing in the future. Isn't there a picture posting software for newbies to simplify this proceedure somewhere? I would love to master this process but it is way easier said than done bro.      Jimmy B. aceinthehole492007-02-28 20:37:16

The hardest part for most folks is getting pictures sized right for posting.  there are three simple guidelines for picture sizes displayed within C3VR.  These guidelines are in place to keep page loading times tolerable for those members who do not have access to high speed internet connectivity.

1)  Pictures displayed with your profile info or with your C3 registration can be any size you wish.  This is because they are displayed rather infrequently and "on demand".

2)  Pictures displayed in threads should be no more than 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall.  This is because they are displayed more frequently and are in the stream of a thread where you are "forced" to look at them.

3)  Pictures displayed in forum signatures should be no more than 200 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.  This is because they are displayed the most frequently and you are also "forced" to look at them as part of the thread.

There are several posts flagged with a "sticky pin" that detail quite well the steps to create and maintain your forum signature as well as resizing pictures.

Another helpful bit of info can be found by clicking on the "Forum Codes" link found below most message text areas.  The window that pops up has excellant examples of 99% of the "custom" things you can do within your tread post or your forum signature.

The second hardest part is getting pictures uploaded to an internet server.  Your pictres will not dispay for everyone to see if you reference them from your computer's hard drive.  There are a TON of picture hosting sites out there, some charge a fee for using their disk space, some do not.  Every C3VR member above the "Free Trial" level of membership has access to a "Personal File Space" where pictures can be stored and referenced anywhere on the world wide web.

Believe it or not, it took me a little while to get good at the art of sizing and posting pictures.  I've had a few patient tutors over the years that have "shown me the light".  If anyone is having difficulty with displaying pictures please don't let it beat you up.  Ask Joel (Adams' Apple), myself, or any of the moderators for some assistance.  We'll all be glad to help and once you can see an example I know it will be easy for anyone to do.
