Anybody else having problems with the "Watch this Forum" feature? 2 days in a row I had to re-click the "watch this forum" button for the topics I had originally been "watching". Unhappy

Are you watching a TOPIC, or a FORUM? A topic would be a specific thread, a forum would be the specific forum the topic is in.
I haven't had any issues that I know of....

As Joel said, watching a TOPIC and a FORUM are two different things:

When you are in a forum message listing, like for the Support Forum, you will see a link at the top left of the list that says either "Watch this Forum" or "UnWatch this Forum."  If it says "Watch this Forum," you are not currently watching it and must click it to begin watching it.  If it says "UnWatch this forum," you ARE watching it and it should stay that way until you click that link.

Watching a forum means that when a NEW topic that is posted you will receive an email telling you it was posted.  You will NOT be notified of REPLIES to that new topic.  That brings me to watching a TOPIC.

When reading a TOPIC, link this one, you will see a link at the top left of the topic that says either "Watch this Topic" or "UnWatch this Topic."  If it says "Watch this Topic," you are not currently watching it and must click it to begin watching it.  If it says "UnWatch this Topic," you ARE watching it and it should stay that way until you click that link OR if you reply to that topic and leave the "Notify me by email if replies are made to this topic" box unchecked when you post your reply.

That's the tricky part, you have to remember that if you are watching a TOPIC, and then you reply to it, you need to make sure you check the Notify box if/when you post a reply to that topic.  If you forget to do that, you can always click the "Watch this Topic" link after you post your reply.

Hopefully this makes sense.
If not, let me know.

That was the problem...I had been "watching" to winter get together topic and posted a few times to it but never paid attention to the "notify me by email if replies are made to this topic" button....just assumed once I clicked on the "watch topic" button it stayed watched until "unwatched".
