Ok..since I am working 100% mobile for anything internet when things change it irritates me..there was a mobile version going on here but I can't find it now..plus all the adds are now animated which slows my download time..this is bar none one of the slowest loading sites I am on..I understand the importance of having sponsors..but the animation makes being here a real pita..plus if I would like to post something more than 3 lines its almost impossible because of the way the text goes into the screen..it doesn't shrink it into rows but fills up the screen on the left and right and makes it very difficult to go back and change anything..oh well probably not much I can do about it. Rich, I noticed that some of the post here on the site also have the text stretched way out and I have to scroll across to read it all.

Since the forum software was reverted back to the version I wrote, there is no mobile-friendly version anymore.   Perhaps someday there will be.

As for the animated ads making it load slower, that is not what makes it slow.  The animations are animated GIF files, not flash.  Their file size is actually quite small.  Slow on mobile is just because of how many things are being loaded.  Try loading this page, you'll see it is probably really quick. That's because there isn't much on it, and it doesn't have to hit the database much to retrieve any info for the page.

Sadly, I'm only one person that has a full time job and a family. The site does not generate enough income to allow me to hire someone to make this site as great as I know it can be, and I simply don't have the time to spend to make it so, either.

Please bear with the changes and allow me time to get to improvements when I can.

If anyone knows ClassicASP and wants to help, by all means, let me know! I just can't pay you. (Unless all current members want to pay $1000/year for membership! Wink)

On the plus side, I'll bet no one's been kicked out of their session or lost a message then spent a long time typing recently! Hug

Rich, I am replying on my mobile device right now. I got the same message. The rich text editor is third party and therefore I wouldn't know how to make it work mobile. Sorry.

The posts that stretch out the page to the right usually have large images in them....that's what makes you need to scroll left/right...
