OK!  Check this out fellow C3'ers.  Voice your honest opinion on this concept.

Mixed feelings on this one. Still has the short rear of the C-6 and some curves of the C-3.  Overall I still prefer the true curves of my 80.

Looks nice and all - but I still like the originals better.

Let the rest of them go back to the old days / old school - I'd prefer GM / Corvette keep looking forward like they have done with the current Z06 and ZR-1.

They are cute though ..... Clap

At least this one looks better than the attempts that Chrysler did with the Challenger, Chevy's Camaro, or even Ford's Mustang. This one's got the curves Baby!

Something about the real lines of the C3 which can't be effectively blended into a C6 and come out with the same feel.  Will keep the C3, thank you.

I'll go against the grain here, and say I like it.  If they could produce a new Corvette and plop a C3 body on it, I'd trade in the 77 and 00 and buy one.  There's nothing like having the best of both worlds - the style and grace of a C3 body and all the creature comforts and power (and gas mileage) of a C5 or C6 Vette.

If you're gonna go retro why not the C1? Now that would be a nice retro version, really nice lines that a car designer could have a field day with. keytech2009-02-11 17:13:53

I'm gonna say no.  But, if like Biff said, they could put a (real) C3 body on a C5 or C6 chasis, then THAT would really be something!

I actually like the concept. I agree with most of the previous posts, with a few exceptions. I don't think Ford and Chrysler failed with the Mustang and Challenger rebirths. I think they are both very nice designs. Given the choice I would like to see a retro Vette follow the C2 form. I would give consideration to buying this C3 concept if it were available from the assembly line. I don't thinlk I would go for the kit idea.

Interesting question about this one.
1st I do think its cool that out of ALL the previous models they chose OURS to work with.
Thats quite the compliment IMO.

I did like the looks of the top one, but the more cars I saw the less I liked em with the stripes and all.

Would I trade a real C3 for one? No, I like the original thank you.

But would it be a good car for someone who loves the looks of a early C3 but has no interest in figuring out vacuum lines, heater cores and how to make the radio work? You bet.
For those I say go for it!

But please, put a tank sticker on it just for fun!

I liked the looks except for the scoop ahead of the rear wheel. Would I buy a new one? no. I might buy one when it is 5 to 10 yrs old though. New toys are just too expensive. Be sides I still enjoy my 76

No matter how hard the engineers try, they'll never improve the original C3. Those who can afford that car, probably won't appreciate it like we do ours. My .02 "T"

It just looks like a customized C6, still having the problems I see with the C6.  Front and rear ends too short, rear end looks like it was chopped off with a cleaver.  No thanks, I would stay with my original C3.

Tuff Crowd.... hmmmmn.... I like it. If I had the dough I would put one in the garage a drive the gee wiz outta it.

Its supposed to be a retro car not a clone. So there should be a mix of old and new school tech involved.

And,,, its a Vette not a Vette/Rod so that makes it worth more in the end someday.

I like it!  Although I would rather it was a chrome bumper version.  There are already companies doing retrofits of first and second generation style bodies on new chassis, so it is our turn.

I like this one much more than the Transformer Vette!  The idea of C3 looks (sorta) and C6 driveability is appealing.  The rear end is too much late model to suit me.  I'll take two . . . .

Check out Pro-Team's 1962s for sale.  There is a modern replica that is going for about $130K that really looks kool!  Maybe beter than the original C1 (certainly one of my gavorites).

I like the car style.  I agree I'm not into the kit thing but they may sell enough to make it worth their while.  I'm not all that craze about the C5 or C6 actually.  The actual cars are an improvement and really are great driving machine.

The Concept car looks great, but I am not in favor of it. History has created uniqness, thus recreating takes away from the pride of an era. Have we run out of ideas that we have to repeat history? The music world has run short of imagination and originality as they continually introduce old songs of 40 years ago that never meet the excitement of the orginal.
