Hi all- I am feeling like a complete idiot....... I can't get my car pic to upload- I tried different pics, file sizes, etc, none will go- keep getting an error message.  Anyone else had trouble, and if so- how do I make it work?  Thanks (technology challenged here)

Where are you trying to upload it to? Sig pics need to be uploaded to your Personal File Folder, under the button.

If you want, you can e-mail the pic(s) to me, and I'll load them for you, and set them up for your sig pic.

I'll try to help with your pic postings.

First download your pics into your computer.

Then upload them to a storage carrier like. Kodak, Webshots, Flicker, etc. (I use Webshots and that will be my following examples)

Once you have your pics uploaded into storage you are ready to go.

When you are wanting to post a pic in C3VR click the reply button and enter your message. to post the pic click on the green tree. It opens up a box that you will need to paste a copied path into (later).

Open up you Webshots Album and find the pic you want to post and click on it. You will see a box on the right hand side that gives you some posting options. (size & and paths)

Choose the 200 pic size. That makes it Norsky friendly for C3VR.

Now look for the URL://HTTP path that is for posting the pic with a direct link. Click on it. This will highlight it and now you can right click and copy it.

Once you have copied it go back to your C3VR post and paste it in the box. Click ok, it should show the path in your post now.

Click on the preview box and you should be able to see your pic. If not there is sonething wrong with the path.

These work pretty much the same for all of the photo storage carriers I listed and exactly this way for Webshots.

Try this out and see if you can'y make it work. If you have trouble let me know and I will help you.

I give..... Thanks for the help- They are uploaded- I just can't get them to show as a signature now- its giving me a different error message...... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have learned to patch fiberglass, put some engine parts back together, search out parts, read codes- but I CAN NOT GET A PICTURE TO POST!!!!!!!!!!  Ahhhhhhh...... sorry.  Frustrated.  Any more suggestions?

never mind- it just posted.  Don't know how, but hey- whatever works (-:

Serious is right- but fortunately they are movin along well.  The 76 is sanded, patched- except for one spot that I've been intimadated by- the passenger side front corner-major body line- is crushed.  Trying to figure a way to mold then use the mold to build over with mesh and fiberglass..... the 454 is ready, and tranny.  Got most of the parts now- just gotta get that last bit of body work, then she's off for her paint.  The 74 is now the 15 year olds car/problem.  Got it sanded, new frontend clip, and then got fed up.  The 76 was supposed to be the parts car- turned out to be in better shape than the 74.  WE're getting there thoiugh.  Should be ready by about March.  We also have the 71 camaro....with the 864 hp engine- that should be done by January 1st.  Never a dull moment....

First- no- not in business- just a hobby, though I probably should be since I've learned to patch fiberglass (according to others) pretty darn well, and yeah- thats the 02 in the background of the 74.  Both the 74 and 76 are completely sanded waiting for gelcoat now.  Well- the 76 still has the one major fiberglass repair to be done- it scares me.... oh- and the 86 showcar- yeah.... its in the barn (-:  Just a few vettes around here....

May be off topic- but EXTREMELY helpful!!!!  And where was that repair?  No- I'm not that great- still learning- althoufg I have found that it is one of the few things that being a perfectionist comes in handy with...... but definatley still learning.  I'll have to try the roaster pan thing....might work (-:
