Hey, any other Vette owners doing the '13th annual Gambler's Classic
Poker Run' at Buffalo Bill's in Primm Nv the weekend of the 19th? Two of
us are leaving from the Los Angeles area on the 18th and wondered if any
other C3 heads from the area were planning the trip. Always cool to
caravan.

    Man, I would love to go on that run, but of course that is the weekend I have to work.

         I checked out your web site....do you ever go to the Rat Fink or Mooneyes shows? I have had my cars in them many times, and your style of artwork fits right in.

    Yea, I heard the GCPR is a gas, 400-600 vettes due from around the
country. I'm looking forward to it, this wil be my first year. Vettes AND
gambling- throw in some strippers and I've gone to heaven....Also going
to the Big Bear Vette Run in June (if I can stand the heat in the damn thing
that time of year)...

I use to go to the Rat Fink parties, have been a member of the Robert
Williams Kustom Kulture painting group since the very early 90's (2 new
books just came
out about the movement, the latest called "Weirdo Delux" from Chronicle
hit this week)...the movement influenced a lot of the new stuff....I always
have a piece in the Blessing of the
Cars show. I've been meaning to hit the Mooneyes show, always dig the
custom scene.
You too have a '72 T-top! Any pics online I catch a gander?
I hope we can hook up soon, maybe the next car show. Keep me posted
on events, and I'll do the same. Am working on a series of prints for
upcoming shows, I'll drop you a line when and where.

  I am very familiar with Robert Williams and his work.......Also like Kent Bash art work.  Mooneyes is  a lot of fun, but the Vette does't fit in too well.....I take the beater 64 el camino and fit right in.

         It would be great to hook up at a show......the George Barris show is coming up in May in Culver City. Do you ever go to Bob's in Toluca Lake? Lots of shows in the area.

        Go to www.vetteweb.com, click on events and find 5th annual cruise for the cure. Scroll down until you see a red 72 with a guy sitting next to it in a chair ( not me, my friend who owns the Nova in the picture) or Google "Pharaohs car club St. Louis" go to club rides and my car is in there too. Haven't figured out how to get my picture out of my profile here and post it with my rantings.

        Hooked up with Daytona 69 last year at Cruise for the Cure in Orange County. Over 3,300 cars. You should check it out. I've been there every year except the 1st. Coming up is the 7th year and looks to be even bigger.

Sorry we missed it too. One of our daughters has a basketball tournament that weekend.  We would love to meet with you all at some future event. Perhaps we should be thinking of a Southern California C3 Registry group happening. Perhaps as part of some other show or event. We could go and display together. What do you all think?
