Hey, where is everyone? I can't believe the lack of replies regarding the California Car Cover Show. If you are a southern California member, quit hiding out! Come on, lets all get together and make a big showing.
Remember, Sunday, April 10th.....California Car Cover/NSRA 10th Annual Fan Appreciation Day at Cal Car Cover in Chatsworth, Ca (San Fernando Valley). 8am - 3pm. Free entry, food, raffles and give-aways.
Come on out for a great time......

I ran a memeber search by zip code and there are more former memebers than present members......Last year I printed up some of the flyers and always have some on my dash at shows......gotta do something about this area...the so called "Car Capital".
Whats it gonna take to have your car ready? Daytona69 still isn't sure if he's gonna make it, but I understand with the divorce thing going on. So far Lowbrowser and I are the only ones going for sure. I also have my neighbor with a 71 Z-28 who's going and my brother in law with his show winning 72 Bug. Hey, we can all go in together and tell them we're the "So Cal Cruising Association " or some nonsense. Since this is a local show for me, I know quite a few people going, but really want to see the C3 contingency.
I met Kalyn ( Lowbrowser) 2 weeks ago...great guy, great "survivor" car.....Met Matt (Daytona 69) last year at the Orange County Cruise for a Cure........Thats another show not too miss. Over 3,000 hotrods, muscle cars, Vettes and customs......
WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?

Interesting info...I wonder why so many So Cal people have dropped out. You would think the CV3R is exactly what a C3 owner would be looking for. Most of the local NCCC clubs are predominately C5 and or social clubs. The NCRS is a great bunch, but just "shows of perfection" are not everyone's cup of tea. Perhaps an internet "club" really needs person to person contact, ie. meetings, shows, events etc. Maybe a dedicated membership drive is in order, along with an organized meeting schedule. Any thoughts?
As I live in Big Bear, and I'm watching it snow as I type this post, I'm real iffy on anything early April off the mountain. I use the winter months to make improvement, do maintenance etc. But if the weather clears, and I get a few parts back on, I'll be there.
Thanks Reid...if we can get a committed group together to work this issue, we can fix it.
I see two new members from the Los Angeles area in the last week, but don't see where they have checked back in......Come on guys! LA is home of the hot rod, cruisin' and baaaad Vettes!
I have checked out some of the local Corvette clubs in the area, and most of them seem to be as you stated, "social clubs" for guys who aren't really car guys, just think they are. The NSRA, which is the co-sponsor of the show in April has the motto.."Fun with Cars". To me thats whats its all about. So many times at shows you'll see a really great car and you KNOW the owner has done nothing more than wipe it down and gas it up. Everything else was bought and done by a shop. This forum is full of people who enjoy working on and improving the great American classic sports car....Some things ARE out of the realm of the average owner, but reading these posts, most are willing to give it a try, and other members are here to help. This forum IS all about fun with cars.
Let me get off this rant.....this thread is about getting So Cal C3VR members together to have a good time...........
