I was just thinkin bout it and was wounderin what exactly distinguished a 50th aniv edition from other models produced in that year. I like the fact that I have a 25th aniv and would like a 50th but sorry to say I do not want red ext with shale int.(no offence to youse red lovers.Wink) and the interier color is way too light. I hate light interier colors. The color is both my non vettes are light and I cant stand it. Thanks

Basically the Maroon model was the one considered the actual 50th Anniversary Model.  They had special gold 50th Ann. badges on the sides and I believe it was the only Vette in 03 that had the 50th Ann. stiched into the seat backs.  That all came with the 50th Ann. Package.

I was considering the same thing William, until the wife bought the Saturn Sky instead.  How cool would that be to have a 25th and 50th Anniversary Vette.  I don't think I'll make it to see a 75th Ann. Vette LOL

Biff is correct. As an owner of a 50th anni. I can tell you it is the 1SC option that makes it a special edition. All corvettes in 2003 carry the nose emblem stating the 50th anniversary, but only the 1SC is the true 50th.

Don't fergit aboot the 35th anni cars....or the 40th.
I wouldn't mind having a 35th. For some reason, I really like the white scheme...Adams' Apple2008-10-06 10:36:52

Well actually the 25th aniv is essentially the same thing. I dont have the special paint or interier but the badge on the hood still says 25 aniv. What exactly is the 1SC option, Is that some sortof engine upgradeor just part of the interier package? I guess where I am goin is I want to get a c5 late next year otherwise I may end up with a Camaro(The woman wants me to get the Camaro). I just don't want the light color of the interier I prefer black leather But I also don't want to have to be concerned if'n I do any mods that the value would be decreasing for doin 'em.

For the 78 I am makin it what I have always wanted, which is a nice Driver. Somethin that looks good and is a bit faster.(still want to go with a zz4 crate engine). But I am hopein to just have the c5 for longer trips only to places that I do not want to drive the 78 to.

the C5 is a far superior car than the Camaro. Find a nice one and get your lady to test drive it. My wife fought me all the way.she wanted a Crossfire. After I got her to drive the C5 it was done. Now I can`t get to drive it.

As much as id like that she can't... she is a quad. so I get to be the one to drive it. I have told her repededly that I would prefer a vette but she is a bit stuburn. I have a green light to get one after the Ford is paid for so I will keep my eyes open for one. Thanks for the info to all.
