Back in the '70s, the Corvette designers were busy.

I actually remember those when they were introduced.  Seemed strange even then.  They were interesting, but I'm glad it went the way it did.

I remember showing a picture of that XP-882 to my step son and asking him if he had any idea as to who designed it.
 
He pegged it - John Z. Delorean (of course, he didn't know his first name or middle initial).

Do you guys remember when GM was going to use the Wankel rotary engine in the Corvette?
Our company was going to supply some of the machines to manufacture the engines.
They gave up on the emmissions problems.

They were ahead of their time. I'm curious to see what the Italian concept Corvette (1963) goes for at Barrett-Jackson.
