[Rescheduled from 4/18/2020] The Texas Corvette Association (TCA) was founded in 1979 by Craig L. Main and William H. Clower. While our records don’t include the details of the very first car show, in 2020 we celebrate our 28th annual event. The TCA has a 19 year history of holding their car show in the beautiful town of Boerne, Texas along the “Hill Country Mile” and routinely draw over 350 entrants across more than 30 car classes. In 2017, there were 401 registration and 280 corvettes. Folks came from all over Texas to include: the Dallas area, Houston area, El Paso, Corpus Christie, Harlingen, Abilene, and Odessa.

This Saturday evening, August 7, is our club''s turn to host the Amarillo Car Council Cruise Night. We have decided to plan a nostalgic night of cruising Polk Street in down town Amarillo, just like the good ol'' days. We will meet at 6:00 PM at the parking lot of the Region 16 building, at Bell and Hillside. At 6:30 we will caravan all cars to Polk Street, and cruise up and down from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Any car welcome, hot rods, antiques, classics, Corvettes, muscle cars, etc. Dress up in 50''s and 60''s attire if you like. Or if you don''t want to cruise, just bring your lawn chair and watch the other cars. Restaurants on Polk St. will be open with sidewalk service and we''ll have oldies radio station coverage. Come join us and help make this another great Corvette Club activity! Don''t forget about the other things going on earlier in the day: The John Chandler Car Show, all day. Kress, Tx. The Mid-Tex-Corvette Club will be holding an all Corvette show celebrating 50 years. This will be an indoor show with participants coming from several locations in Texas, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and the Temple Belton Killeen area. Indoor spaces are limited to about 109 cars and it is filling up fast. We will have local car clubs displaying cars outside as well, only Corvettes will be judged. The show is held at the Chuck's in Plano on the North East Corner of West Park and Midway (about 1 mile west of the Dallas North Tollway). This show is sponserd by both Chuck's restaurants and Steve Pastor with Zanio. We will have 18 classes including a Corvette only class.
