First of all....WOW!
You guys don't even need me anymore!  What a fantastic looking agenda! I didn't have any part of creating it. I don't think I could have put together such a great plan.

Thanks to all involved in putting this all together!

I'm sorry I won't be making this event.  Looks like it will be the best Gathering ever!

CHANGES IN THE 2010 GATHERING ITINERARY.
Unfortunately, the Crooked River Dinner Train has gone out of business.  We had to remove it from  our 2010 Gathering.   I will let you know if someone reopens the Dinner Train and we can put it back on the itinerary.  Too bad, it was really top notch!  A catered dinner, a ride on an old steam engine with a  train robbery.  On a positive note, it does give everyone another evening to experience the old downtown.   We might just  have a nice wind down, sit around, drink some home brew,  get together dinner or BBQ at the Shilo.
Or, If you want, I guess Larry & I could dress up in cowboy hats & boots & rob y'all!!

I'm not a real train buff, but I am VP of the Friends of the Railroad, a local 501 (c) (3) trying to promote local train history in our area. So I was looking forward to riding on a real steam engine train.
Is the train still running?
Keep checking.
Maybe someone will run some excursions.
At the very least I will want to get some pictures of it.
Are we there yet????

I dropped by the Shilo today to meet Carla, Director of Sales, and Susan, Restaurant Manager/Special Events Coordinator & to check out the rooms.   Unfortunately the ladies were not there.  Fortunately,  the rooms were.  Nice rooms, all had micros, refers, coffee makers,  fireplaces and a sliding door to the balcony, (top floor) or to a patio on the bottom floor.  The Deschutes River is just beyond the short lawn.  There are  rooms available with  Jacuzzis/Spas & rooms with a kitchens & a hide-a-bed sofa.   You would have to call to find out what our rates would be.  They also have free Wi-Fi.
Oh yeah, the Go-Karts are across the road, a healthy walk from the Shilo, but very close.

I'm pretty sure I have updated all of the activity sign-up threads with all of the folks who have indicated their participation.

Of note is the change to the Saturday night activity since the dinner train venue had to be dropped.  I did not move the names from the dinner train sign-up so if you plan to attend the farewell dinner you need to sign-up here: Farewell Backyard BBQ Signup

So to all who are attending the gathering please take a few minutes and check the activity lists to make sure you are included on them.  There are several where a head count number is needed for planning purposes.

Thanks...!!!
