Lol ebo, I have used a Sharpie in the past to get by temporarily.
@2tone82vette: You can also use Duplicolor Trim Paint p/n TP70. It dries in 30 mins., has a durable finish, dries to that same OEM satin black finish and it readily available at local auto parts stores. I used it to refinish all my window trim, wiper arms, and various places under the hood.

Hi Kenton, I was going to repaint my rear window trim this past summer. I found that under the old paint there was a chrome trim. I used steel wool and most of the paint came off slowly. There is so little chrome on the 82. The only other place is where the tops rest on the windshield and the cross-member and I have chrome tailpipe tips. I have yet to buy any paint. Mine was a very flat black and had worn unevenly revealing the chrome trim. It may not be real chrome but, it is shinny and does not scratch with the steel wool.
Nobody ever waves when I'm driving the Explorer.
