Cindy, if your front clip is still in one piece You shouldn’t need any bonding strips to reattach. You’re correct, the bonding were used mainly to assemble the body components to each other. The front clip is held on by use of adhesive along the sides and across the top of the firewall. It is also held in place by the radiator core support, so make sure you have that in place when you install the clip for proper alignment and support. Regarding the bonding material or glue, there should be a few different types carried by the Corvette vendors. A phone car or email to their tech support might help to explain your requirements and get their recommendations. Though not specific to Corvette body assembly, I have used a product by 3M called Panel Bonding Adhesive, their part number 08115. I’ve used it on a number of repairs and would consider it for a front clip. It’s a two part adhesive that requires use of a special two part caulk gun to apply. Both the product and the gun are available at our local parts stores (Auto Zone, O Reilly’s), just not sure if you have any of those in the Great White North. Good luck, hope this helps.
