This may be silly but I have to ask.  A while back I had a new 7 blade fan and fan clutch installed on my 75.  Since then there is a lot of "air" noise.  When accelerating you hear the fan making a "whoosh" type sound and it drowns everything else out.  After driving on the freeway for a while I also now have a noise like the fan kicking on and off.  Anyone know what this could be?
I check to make sure the fan blade was not installed backwards and it is the same as my other 75 (which does not make this noise btw).  Is it possible that the fan clutch fit the car but is not the right one?
Hot or cold you can spin the fan freely.  Just wondering if I should replace this again.

It could be calibrated wrong for the car, but it is probably ok...just maybe annoying.
The fan should actually kick in/out as needed, but once on the road, at speed, it shouldn't really be needed all that much. Is the engine running cooler, or hotter than before? The fan should be quieter when the engine is cool than it is when the engine is hot, and the clutch is engaging to keep the air moving over the radiator.
You shouldn't be able to spin the fan freely when it is cold...there should be a fair amount of resistance to it...this one may be bad. I think I'd prolly try another one, myself.
