First let me say thanks again to Larry at Corvette Specialties for his advice this morning. After I checked my u-joints I'm 90% sure that they are ok.I am going to recheck after I replace the left strut. That my question the strut by being bent is putting pressure on the bolts that hold it.I can rotate the cam bolt ,but it dosen't losen anything up.I have the car on stands and so I assume that the spring is unloaded. So to get the bent strut out I want to cut it with a sawzall. Will this work or do I have to do anything else to the spring?

With the tires hanging down, the strut rods will have some twist applied to them, due to the t-arm "arc" as it moves up/down. You can put a jack under the t-arm, and jack the arm up, and get the rods out. Be careful to position the jack in a manner that is safe. You can do this with the spring still attached, or you can take the end link bolts out, but then you have to deal with safely removing the tension from the spring. You could also take the strut rod bracket loose from the diff....just 4 bolts hold it to the bottom of the diff. Taking the bracket loose will eliminate the twist problem, but it won't eliminate the fact that there is still a little pressure on the rods from the wheels hanging down. You will be able to get the rods out, tho.
