I was pleased to find out that although St. Louis production records were destroyed in a fire, there are records for cars delivered to Canada. They are held by GM Canada in Oshawa and for a hundred bucks, they will provide a certificate (copy attached) showing original options, delivery dealer and shipping date.
Happy to see the 3.55 posi rear axle and the M21 transmission. I wasn't able to confirm these items until the snow is gone and I can go pickup the car. The car must've been transferred between dealers because it was first licensed in Alberta rather than Quebec which is where it was shipped from St. Louis.
Happy Holidays!

It's a great service that GM Oshawa provides for all Canadian delivered vehicles dating back to 1946 if I'm correct. I have the history on my '75 as well. If there are any Canadian members on here that are curious about their car's history; I highly recommend it. You also get a package of all the engineering specs on your particular year.

You used to be able to get that "package" with the "Restoration" package from GM years ago. I got one for my '74 waaaay back, right after I bought it. They don't do that anymore....at least not for free, like it was then. The nest year, when I tried to get the same deal on my '85, all I got was aboot 10 copies of the build sheet....nothing else.
GM Canada has always been good about retaining records....thumbs up to the Canucks for that, at least!
