I actually stopped using mine. It kept leaving streaks all over the car and it was a pain in the butt to have to
re wipe down the car every time I used it.

I have 3 of them! Two for the cars and the smaller one that we use in the house.

This is something else to consider.
Use the duster prior to putting the cover on your car. This will keep dirt off the inside of your cover. That is the reason why we cover our cars in the first place.
The water blade is a great! It cuts drying time, is compact and quick to use.

Resurecting an "old" thread. I got a duster for Christmas, great product. I would like to know more about the water blade though. Anyone have more info?

Not real impressed with it... doesn't fit the lines of the vette real well, takes to long to go around the car.

My 2 cents..

I have a "California Duster" and love it.  Have recomended it to friends who own all sorts of cars.  I also bought the small version for the dash.

Worth every penny.

The streaks should stop after 5-10 uses.  It takes time for the duster to "cure".  About the time it starts to look as it needs to be washed is about the time it starts to work its best.

I'm not sure how the duster will work on snow, but I bet the water blade will work.
I have both and use them all the time.
In fact, they were the first things I bought for the Vette. Got them at Mid America.
The duster is dirty, but works great. And I always use it before I put the cover on.
Just remember to shake it out. Always reminds me of my mother when she would shake out the dust mop.
Wow, this is an old thread!

This HAS to be one of, if not THE oldest threads on this forum!!

Yes, I have a duster. Laid it out on some newspapers for a few months. No more leaving greasy streaks on the car! They do have a wee bit of an excess of "wax", or whatever on them, new. Mine is now 8 years old, and works very well.......still.

I have several of them and have been using them for 10 years I guess. They work great. I also have the California Water Blade. It does a good job at getting the biggest majority of water off of the vette. But I still go around with the electric blower to get all of the water out all those little nooks and crannies.

I keep hearing about, and seeing ads for the "Water Blade", but it scares me to think of squeegy-ing my car! Do those things really work that well, without scratching the paint I'm really curious!

Ya Dave, I've also have the Water Blade but won't use it on the Vette.  I agree the duster is amazing but I won't drag that blade across my Vettes body  I do use the blade on my truck though cilrah38685.8410763889

I have both the Cal duster and water blade and both work  well on my vette. the water blade doesn't hurt the paint at all, just don't overwipe with it. I use a microfiber towel  on any missed spots because it doesn't fit in every cranny or edge. but it sure speeds up the drying time .

I've got both as well although I don't use the Water Blade much. (except on my wife's rice burner ) I prefer a chamious over the water blade. I usally follow this up with Meguires Detail Mist. I try to stay away from water as much as possible. It takes forever and a day to clean up the spokes!

I have a Calif. Duster and I use it on a black car also. But I found out that when you get to the end of your sweep with it, it leaves a dust mark. If you spray a little "Endust for Electronics" on it, you don't have this problem. It is oil-free, wax-free, ammonia-free, and (this is great for Corvettes)   ANTI-STATIC. I have found this product in ACE hardware stores. But I think it works great along with the Duster. Just spray a little on the Duster and the dust mark goes away. It doesn't take much, but it works. Dosen't leave any residue either.

Keeping this Thread Alive....Lay out Duster on newspaper for a few days to obsorb Excess wax, NO streaks.
Try an ELECTRIC leaf blower for drying, Excellant NO touch method, follow up with Micro-Fiber cloth if needed.
