I have a couple duplicate C-3 Corvette promotional models from my private collection to pass along to any interested member. Both are 1982s, a Medium Red Coupe and a replica of the '82 Collectors edition. Both are in absolutely mint boxed condition and purchased by myself from the local Chevrolet dealer when they were new. Priced at $27 each plus shipping ( which should be around $10 depending on your location). No disappointments on these models. For photos or any other information please contact me at fift8imperial@yahoo.com. Thanks, Bruce

Sorry if this sounds rude but just a question.
Is this a Solicitation or are you really interested in the C3VR forum ? Are you thinking about signing up after your trial is expired?

I signed up mainly to have a site to go to for tech data should the need arise. I own a '59 but my girlfriend has a '74 convertible. Thus my interest in the C3 site. Thanks for asking, Bruce

Nice form sir , Nice form!
Reason asked is sometimes the site is used for free advertisements. I see you understand.
Actually we do have some car collectors here, I have a NASCAR die cast collection and some Franklin Mint and a few other die cast Corvettes.
With that can you give me some details on these cars.
Die cast? Plastic? Assembled? Size! Pictures?
Thank you for the responce and glad you did not take it as rude, was not intended to be.

Albo, a "Promo" is a small, 1.24th scale plastic car. Nuttin fancy at all...not even as nice as a regular, put it together yerself model. They are given to new car buyers(if requested), or you can purchase them outright from the dealer. The older Promos can bring some serious cash. I paid $200 for my '74 Promo....
I can say the '82 Collector Edition Promo is pretty nice, for what it is.

Here's a pic of an Orange '74 Promo I been watching on fleecebay....

Could be if he has pictures of the 82CE.  His email did not work for me so?

Yes it did and I removed a few replies to keep it on topic.

I checked the e-mail address on his member record and it matches what he put in his post.  Instead of typing it try to copy/paste it to eliminate the possibility of mis-keying it.  If that doesn't work try contacting him via a Private Message.

Thanks all,

I did get hold of him.  Got some pictures but yours provided some different shots.  It does not have any of the pin stripping I think I will just set down an build the plastic Revell model I have.  But thanks for all of the information.  If someone has or see a die cast model of an 82CE I would be interested in that.  Yes I know it will cost me more.  Just have to see how much more.

Thanks Ebo for the link

Gil, AutoArt makes a really sweet 1.18th scale die-cast. Not cheap, but not too expensive, either, depending on how ya look at collecting cars.
