Clear Paint Protection Available at NCM

Your new vehicle is vulnerable to damage the minute you drive it off the lot. Traditional methods of protecting your car’s paint, such as bras and bug shields, can actually cause further damage, are unsightly and obscure the color brilliance you were originally aiming to protect.

The National Corvette Museum now offers clear paint protection by Clearshield and Scotchgard by 3M.

These nearly undetectable, protective urethane films are designed to resist impact from the everyday damaging road hazards such as gravel, debris, stones, road salt and even insects.

Members save 10%, and Lifetime Members save 15%. Check out the details online here.

Last Chance for Tickets! 50 Year of Le Mans Film Premiere Raises Funds for Chip Miller Foundation

With all the makings of a Hollywood drama, love story and action film, “The Quest” documents the incredible story of the first Corvette to win its class at the famous track in Le Mans France in 1960. Of course the car couldn't have done it alone – “The Quest” tells the untold tale of the driver and the man who dreamed to take the car back to France for the 50th anniversary of the win but who lost his life early to a rare disease called Amyloidosis.

For one night only, the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation (CMCF) is premiering the heartwarming documentary created by the award-winning filmmaker Michael Brown. The movie will show on Friday, May 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the Carlisle Theatre, 44 West High Street in downtown Carlisle, Pennsylvania. All proceeds from the tickets will benefit the Foundation.

The deadline to purchase tickets is next Friday, April 29. Visit www.QuestDocumentary.com for tickets.

This week's trivia question was: On the tv show "The Office" the traveling salesman drives a Corvette. What does his license plate read?

Congratulations to Diego Mendoza of Reedley, CA! He correctly identified the plate as reading "WL HUNG" and scored a t-shirt and free passes to the Museum!

You, too, can play Tuesday Nite Trivia by becoming a 'Fan' of NCM on Facebook!

Corvette Racing survived two hours of close combat to finish second and fifth in the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. Jan Magnussen and Oliver Gavin took the second spot on the GT podium in the No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R when the race finished under caution. Tommy Milner and Olivier Beretta fought their way from the back of the grid at the start to fifth at the finish in the No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R. The BMW of Dirk Mueller and Joey Hand was first across the stripe under the yellow flag.

Corvette Racing’s next event is the 24 Hours of Le Mans in Le Mans, France, on June 11-12, 2011.
