As some of you are experiencing problems with the site, or some of you have heard others are experiencing, I'm considering recreating the site on a *completely* different platform with 3rd party forum software.

The problem is, this site is PACKED with many features. All of these would have to be recreated from scratch, with the exception of the forums, which I would purchase a 3rd party package to use.

The replacement of the forum could be done much sooner than having all the other features built. So it leaves me with two choices: replace the forums ASAP and get the other site features built as time permits, or build the entire new site and not replace any of the current site until the new site is completely finished.

So, I'd like to hear your input as to which option you'd rather see.

Please let me know by casting your vote.

Thanks!

Personally, if there is gunna be a major change to the forums, I would mooch rather it be completely done, and thoroughly tested before opening for business.
"Fixing" whatever issues there are with the current forumware could take a long time, considering it is not readily apparent WHAT the problems are, or how to correct them. I really liked the previous version we had, BUT...there were issues with log-ins, and loosing posts with it, also. It's a tough call, but I would rather have a new set-up that was completely de-bugged before installing, if that's the route taken.

I agree with Joel and ebo, makes sense to get the new one up and running properly before activating it.  The problems I have had are what I consider minor and is something I can live with for now.

The electrons have issues with you.  Maybe it is the nuetrons not sure but?

By the way what is the brower you are using.  It could have been updated and a security change has changed a setting that is now giving you trouble.  I had issue when using Firefox for a while.  Adam helped me isolate it to FireFox.  Never got it fixed until the next FireFox update came out.

Now all of the three browses I use work reliably (most of the time anyway) with the site.  Chrome seems to be the best of three which are EI8, FireFox12 & Google Crome.

I haven't had any problems with the site.  It does operate slightly differently than before some changes were made but nothing that isn't easy to adapt to.

I have a Mac and use Safari for my browser.  So...my advice to any who are having problems...get a Mac!  Big smile
