Well there is a 90% chance I won't be able to make it to the swap meet. Snoqualmie pass is closed until at least Saturday morning and no guarantees at that.Cry

Translation:

Refit = spend mega bucks (i.e., no second Vette for awhile)!!!  Outside:  Remove mast, remove all deck hardware, wood trim, etc., repair leaks in deck and/or rotten core (wood between fiberglass), re-tab (re-attach; it broke loose) starboard (right side looking forward) bulkhead (basically a little wall), grind off old deck material, repair fiberglass where needed, repaint decks, remove old paint from hull, re-paint.  Inside:  de-mold, drill holes in cabin top to allow core to dry, replace headliner (stuff that lines the top of the "roof", replace teak on the sides).  I think that's it.

De-rig = Remove all of the running rigging (all of the "ropes" on the boat) in preparation for the mast to be pulled.

Did I ever tell you buys what BOAT means?  Bring Out Another Thousand!

This is what will be taking up every waking moment of free time for us for the next two months or so.  Every little bit of work Mike & I can do means less charges from the boat yard!  I'll be posting pictures of the progress on my picture site and will let you guys know in case you're interested.

Have a good time up there you guys!  Wish we could come!!

Mark,
Nice pictures. Is that carpet that the cars are sitting on?
Did everyone need to put down a sheet of plastic to catch the dripping?

[/QUOTE] Ya Dave, that was the first time I had a show indoors on carpeting.  They gave us white plastic trash bags to spread under the engine.  It sure was nice sitting on carpet cleaning the wheels Thumbs%20Up

The last time I did an indoor show, we had to have plastic under any place that leaked; engine, brakes, tranny, rear end. Had to have a fire extinquisher on board, lockable gas cap and disconnect the battery. Had to bring our own rope and posts. Then leave it there from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. Not my idea of a fun weekend in the summer.Thumbs%20Down

About the same for this show Dave.  Except they supplied poles.  I had to disconnect the battery, locking gas cap, no more then an 1/8th tank of gas and had to leave it there all weekend.  That was okay it was more time outta the garage then it normally gets in the winter.

27 Feb -1 Mar its in the Seattle Roadster Show and same rules except that I can't stay with my car all weekend.  Set-up Thursday, show Fri, Sat, & Sun.  Once again I'm just glad to get it out and show it off in the winter Thumbs%20Up  I hate the fact that it normally just sits all winter in the garage.
