Driving mine!!!  Probably drive it all weekend too!  Almost drove it today but it was HOT!!  I'm waiting to get the 3oz of oil for my A/C system but i'll suffer tomorrow. It should be in my mail box when i get home tomorrow so the weekend should be at least a half tank run.

Won't be driving mine for about a week now. Came home from work today to find that the township road crew "chipped" the road in front of my house. Takes about a week for the gravel to embed into the blacktop. Means a mile drive on gravel. Don't think so! Was gonna take Friday off work and take the white 79 to Bloomington. Looks like Saturday now with mama's car.   Mike

Ab-so-lute-ly!! It is a "National" event!
I won't be enjoying my '74, but I will be in the '85, because it's easier to get out of the garage!! And remember, folks..."Save the Wave" !!

Vette(s): 1974, 454 with 4 on the floor, matching numbers.

All I plan to do is drive to work, cruise around the building, and take it back home. I work for a truck leasing company, and there's too much traffic in and out of our lot. Can't take the chance of some one hitting my baby.

Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

Wish I could.....weather's been too unstable down here lately and my wipers seen better days. Next year for sure.....Enjoy!

Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79

I saw 1 Vette on the road this morning, other than mine.

Plus it was on the highway, so I couldn't even get a wave out of it.

That sucks!  Where are all the Vettes hiding!??!

Vette(s): Coupe 74 - 454 Drive it like you stole it!
Didn't drive mine and only saw 2 C5 this morning around 7h30.  Surprisingly, they didn't wave back to my Explorer .

I was half-way through my tune-up yesterday to get it ready for this morning, but got interrupted and couldn't finish.

Could be wrong thread, but, is collector insurance that much cheaper ?

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
Sold - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

Thunderstorms with 50 mph winds and hail in the area this morning kept "The Toy" in the garage today.

Keeping fingers crossed for a nice day on Sunday for attending our 1st 'official' Corvette gathering of the summer.

It's too hot today, and my AC isn't working.  The last time I drove in hot weather, I felt like I had sustained 3rd degree burns.  It took about 72 hours for my feet to cool down  I did see 4 C5's & 2 C4's

As for insurance, I use Grundy, they're very fair and uderstanding  about when we drive our cars. $200 a year for $500,000 coverage & agreed value.
