Heres an interesting article about a 1960 racecar that was to be on display at Carlisle this year.

Perhaps this feller's pop lost the car in a bar bet, or poker game....or never even owned it. Who knows? Problem is, the main characters are all DEAD...so it's a "he said-she said", unless the guy can come up with a certified title from the time the car was bought. Just because his pa may have had possession of the car at some time in the past does not mean he owned it....especially when talking about a race car. AFAIK, all 3 of the Cunningham cars were actually owned by GM at the time they were run at Lemans...they dint belong to Briggs, even tho he entered, and raced them under his name...
This will be interesting to see how it all plays out....there was never a report of the car being stolen....that's gunna make it REALLY hard to convince a real Judge to return the car.....

Yeah, this can get into some legal grey areas, especially if like Joel states it was never reported stolen, and if he doesn't have a certified title. Glad I"M not involved!
