First off, I am NOT affiliated with these guys at all, but everytime I see this car I think it's weird that no one has jumped on it yet. Seems like a good "investment" at a good price.

For some reason ZR1's have not held up as one might think. They have so much to offer...relative rarity, an exclusive, high performing engine, etc. Their negatives are few know how to work on that engine and anything related to it is very expensive.
I had a chance a couple of years ago to pick a black on black '90 up...11k miles, absolutely like new with all documentation for no more than $27k. I kind of wished I did, but I really don't like the C4 generation...so hard to get in and crawl out of, but the ZR1 did appeal to me to play with for a while then resell.
Looks like for once I made the right decision and let it go.

I don't know those just don't do it for me, I see C4's scooting around all over the place but I just don't like em.
has anyone seen the new ZR-1 for 09? looks nice.
The new C6 ZR1 is going to suffer some in the same way the C4 ZR-1 did - there isn't a whole lot to that makes it different to the casual eye. "Car nutz" (like us) will be able to tell without a whole lot of trouble though.
And as with anything beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally have never really liked the design of the C5. I've sat in a few but have never driven one.
And even though we own one I'm also not an overly zealous fan of the C4. But after spending a fair amount of seat time in our ZR-1 last summer I can tell you that it is one heck of a fun ride and a very nice long haul road car. To me the hassle of getting in and out of it isn't any worse than "The Toy" (especially when the droptop is up).
