I know its a foolish q'. I'm just curious. I'm heading off to college after putting it off to long. I figure in 4 or 5 years when i graduate i'll buy a c6 to put along side my C3. If i go though, i'm gonna go all the way..... |smokin| I figure it'll make a nice graduation present for myself.... This is saying that the c6 is all its cracked up to be, and that i make the money i want with my degree. Anyone else looking at one for their daily driver/weekend car?

I'm sorry to say, but I really don't care too much about the C4, C5, C6 Vettes, they just don't have the shocking looks of the C2 and C3. I know they are great to drive and do 100000000000 mpg with the new technology, but still they are not for me. IMO the new C6 along side 84-89 vettes are the ugliest ever made.

Flame up boys! |biggrin|

And Brandon, don't get me wrong, this was just my opinion and I hope you'll end up driving a C6 when you graduate! |cheers|

LOL... don't worry man, its a free country... opinion accepted and looked upon objectively..... even though your opinion sucks!!! |devil| Na.. j/k. I understand the opinion, its hard to do a double take with cars just like it is with movies. Its especially hard to do it 6 times over and still stick with the origonal theme!!! I'm not too sure what i want to do. I've got a honda S2000 that i absolutely love. I may put off my dream car and stick with the honda and the vette. The s2000 is the best roadster you can buy in the price range. I may just trick it out for track days and autoX's. A supercharger, body kit, and some suspension tuning would be a bit cheaper than a new vette.... lol:) None the less, i love that vette so much!!!! If the performance figures are right god only knows!!!

Not sure if it is going to work out but my game plan for the last couple of years has been to sell my Camaro SS Conv't. and my '96 C4 coupe and get a second year C6. We really enjoy going on rather long trips with our club and it is so much easier in a newer one. More than likely I will have my '70 till they have to pry my cold hands off of it. After having it for over 34 years( 5 more than I've been married and I do hear about that a lot) I am sort of attached to it.

I've seen the pictures & read about all the new features but it just doesn't do anything for me. I have my 74 & my 00 & I'm happy with both of them. I really want to know how much they plan on selling them for & what problems they're going to have. If my C5 eventually wears out then I may consider buying a used C6 somewhere down the road.

After seeing the SanFran spy shots... http://www.c6vr.com/vrforums/message_go.asp?MID=25959 I'm not in the least impressed. My personal opinion is that what they show would have been a great 50th anniversary only model, one year deal kinda like the 63. Been GREAT for that, but as the whole new thing...I'm skeptical. It does seem like a change in displacement is coming, but I drive a 75 l48, the Horespower gets no lower and the weight no higher. I'm in this car for looks. Surprised me to no end, but I LOVE the New Cadillac. Wierd. Either way...if I've got the money for a C6, I'll get a Countach(seen 'em go for >$60,000) and use the C3 as my Daily Driver as I do now.

GM can keep their C6.

Scot

Edit - I thought the C5 was visual junk when it came out too, my opinion has changed, slightly, but I would still drive one, whereas when new I wouldn't be caught dead in one. I predict the C6 will grow on me as all Corvettes have.
