Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.

I made a trip up to Fayetteville yesterday to meet our fellow member "Streetshark" at a cruise-in where the cars were judged. He left before the award was passed out but look what I ended up with.

I left Fayetteville and went to Elizabethtown where the Cancer Society was having a car show. I didn't do quite as well there because my buddy was there with his 67 vette. I ain't complaining though.

My wife says I should be ashamed of myself because I failed to say there was only 30 cars there. Why do wives always have to burst your bubble?

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

If there were only 3 cars there, you were better than the other two, and they may have been VERY nice.   That just means you beat 29 other cars folks thought were good enough to be judged.   And that ain't bad!

Then to go to another show and get second.  That's also very impressive.

That's what I call a great day!  Congradulations!

Hey everybody, let me tell you, there could have been a thousand cars there.  Jim has one fine ride.  The paint is perfect, and I mean on the frame.  The body is sooooo straight, and the paint seems to flow across the car like water.  The engine is the "KILLER" part though.  A 600+ horsepower 383 stroker with nitros.  Let me just say that if you ever find yourself around Southeastern NC, don't mess with the bright yellow corvette with rearn2 go plates.  Congrads Jim, I told your club was going to ask you not to bring your car next time so that someone else could win one for a change.

Guys that was my first time meeting "Streetshark". I left with the opinion that he was a super nice guy. Then I read his previous post and see that he will stretch the truth.

Thanks anyways JR.
